The interview
What were some of the most surprising results of working with Dr. Tyler?
It was a catalyst for a lot of my other healing. Some of the gene mutations that I had helped me get diagnosed with ADHD. I went my whole life without knowing this. Some of them said that I had a slow production of dopamine, I had slow absorption of dopamine, and it started tying those pieces together.
What is your background and what health issues were you facing?
I'm 25 years old, I live in Chandler, Arizona, and I'm a software engineer finishing school. Before I worked with Dr. Tyler, I was always the kid with major stomach issues. I always had anxiety, some mental health stuff, just super sensitive and I never really knew why.
How did you find out about Dr. Tyler Panzner?
My mother-in-law actually was the one who found him on Instagram, and she gave it a try first. She loved it and felt amazing. She told me, 'Look, you're having all these issues. You're not getting any answers. Why don't you give this a shot?'
What were your thoughts on the cost of the program?
The cost was a little higher than some of the other conventional methods, but again, I had tried so many of the conventional methods, and my other option was going to be to go to a naturopath, which cost is around the same, so the cost was definitely worth it to me.
What was the most significant health discovery made during your consultation?
The main thing that he pointed out for me was that I have horrible histamine issues. He helped me figure out that I have MCAS, which is Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, which is actually really hard to get diagnosed because it appears as so many other symptoms that get misdiagnosed.
How did the protocol change your approach to diet and supplements?
I was trying so many different diets—low FODMAP, carnivore, paleo. It helped me pinpoint what foods were high histamine so I could avoid those. The supplements themselves helped me to kind of relax where if I wasn't perfect, they would pick up the slack.
What specific lifestyle changes or improvements have you noticed?
Mostly stress. I was kind of always overwhelmed. Being able to pinpoint the foods that might have triggered that or the lifestyle things that I did that maybe weren't entirely supportive of my gene mutations has totally changed things for me.
Who would you recommend this service to?
I recommend him to anybody that I really talk to that either says they're on some medications for stuff or if they're experiencing any sort of food issues, kind of like I was. It's crazy how well he's able to explain the way your body functions.
