The interview

What is the value of working with an experienced manufacturing partner?

When you have someone like Go Get Made who has experience in the industry and communicating with those manufacturers, knowing which manufacturers to go to, it takes so much off of the founder's plate. They bring advice and perspective to make your product exactly how you imagine it at a low cost too.

What was your manufacturing experience like before working with GO Get Made?

Before we started working with Go Get Made, we felt like we were in the passenger seat more than the driver's seat and felt like we were kind of just going with what our manufacturers said. If we wanted to make specific adjustments, they weren't very prioritized. Our products were kind of just like, 'It is what it is.' There was no attention to detail.

How did GO Get Made respond to your specific product requirements?

When I first met Go Get Made, I was explaining to them a small detail that my manufacturers were overlooking. It was just a color-matching detail that was really important to me on my product, and there was no hesitation with them. They told me that it was very simple to change and wasn't a big deal.

How would you describe the working relationship with GO Get Made?

They felt like a very hands-on partner that just made everything that I wanted to be very low lift. We feel like they're a strategic partner and part of our brand. It's really cool to be able to work with people who believe in your vision and also can come from their perspective when you vocalize what you want, and they can create it and make it happen without hesitation.

How has this partnership impacted your ability to grow the business?

I think it has changed our confidence with scaling, especially when you're proud of the product that you create. Before, there were things on the product that didn't make us so happy, and it felt like we just kind of had to have it out there before it was perfect. But because now the product is polished and there's attention to detail, you're just more proud of what you've created, which makes it easier to scale.

Frequently asked

How does GO Get Made handle specific product design adjustments?

Shirah Benarde noted that while previous manufacturers ignored small details like color-matching, GO Get Made addressed them without hesitation. They acted as a hands-on partner, making the implementation of specific adjustments feel low-lift and seamless.

When you have someone like Go Get Made who has experience in the industry and communicating with those manufacturers, knowing which manufacturers to go to, it takes so much off of the founder's plate. And so I think anyone that's looking for someone who's been in the manufacturing scene for a long time that can bring their advice and perspective and make your product exactly how you imagine it at a low cost too, like I think that's what every business owner wants, and I think that anyone should work with them. Hi, I'm Shira Bennard. I'm the CEO and co-founder of a company called Nightcap. We're the drink spiking prevention company, so we sell products that prevent your drink from being spiked at the bar. I think that before we started working with Go Get Made, we felt like we were in the passenger seat more than the driver's seat and felt like we were kind of just going with what our manufacturers said. If we wanted to make specific adjustments, they weren't very prioritized. Our products were kind of just like, "It is what it is." They weren't... There was no attention to detail, and that changed when we met Go Get Made. Well, when I first met Go Get Made, I was explaining to them a small detail that my manufacturers were overlooking. It was just a color-matching detail that was really important to me on my product, and there was no hesitation with them. They told me that it was very simple to change and wasn't a big deal. They felt like a very hands-on partner that just made everything that I wanted to be very low lift. The adjustments or the new products that we launch feel very seamless working with them. Well, we feel like they're a strategic partner. We feel like they're part of our brand, and it's really cool to be able to work with people who believe in your vision and also can come from their perspective when you vocalize what you want, and they can create it and make it happen without hesitation. And with their, you know, professionalism and adjustments, like, that is the ultimate goal, I think, when you also are a business owner and you can't fully invest in all these different areas of your business. Like, getting help with product development and turning nothing into something with them has been just easy, and we're just really happy working with them. Yeah, I think it has changed our confidence with scaling, especially when you're proud of the product that you create. I think before we were working with Go Get Made, there were things on the product that didn't make us so happy, and it felt like we just kind of had to have it out there before it was perfect. But because now the product is polished and there's attention to detail, you're just more proud of what you've created, which makes it easier to scale. The best part is that they feel like a strategic partner, and they take a lot of weight off of your hands by implementing the products and adjustments really quickly, and they get back to you with updates and their perspective on how things could be better. We feel like working with them has just elevated our product line and made us more confident when scaling.
