“I really need to stay involved in this, and making sure that I'm applying the best techniques to my business. And getting into the AI Accelerator is the best way to do it.”
The interview
Who are you and what is your business?
Hi, I'm Scott Mueller. I own a business called Mueller Memorial, and I'm from St. Paul, Minnesota.
Why did you decide to attend this event despite a schedule conflict?
This conflicted with an event that I was going to go to with my wife. We had already signed up for it about seven months ago. But this is so important to me, and to our business right now, that it was worth making the sacrifice, changing my plans, and coming here.
What has been your biggest struggle with AI technology?
I think my biggest struggle is probably the same that everybody here has, which is, how do you use it? And once you start using it, how do you engineer the prompts? The prompt engineering is probably the magic. That's the secret sauce to all of this kind of stuff. You can't get a good outcome if you're not putting in a good question to answer.
What specific AI strategy did Mike Koenigs suggest for your business?
Mike says, 'Take all of your reviews—and we're very much a trust-based business—take all of your reviews, and all of the things that people have said to you, feed it into ChatGPT, and get a profile of your customer.' Not only that, but determine how you're going to speak to them, how they want to be talked to, and how you can reposition this for marketing for yourself.
How quickly were you able to implement these AI techniques?
I already did that yesterday morning, and we're already working on it.
What is your experience with the AI Accelerator program?
I can enthusiastically recommend to use the AI Accelerator. I got into one of his first groups, and I extended it because it was so good. And I got in like nine, 10 months ago. What I learned 10 months ago isn't even current today. That's how quickly this is changing.
What is it like working with Mike, Brad, and Joe?
Brad, Joe, Mike, they're all good givers. They'll answer any questions, and they'll help you specifically with your business. Mike is blunt when he needs to be blunt, and he's loving when he needs to be loving. But mostly, he's right out front there and telling us what we came here to hear.
Frequently asked
Is the AI Accelerator worth missing other important events for?
Yes. Scott Mueller noted that he sacrificed a pre-planned trip with his wife because the information was so critical to his business right now. He felt the specific insights into prompt engineering were 'mind-blowing' and worth the schedule change.
How quickly does the AI information become outdated?
According to Scott Mueller, the field changes every two weeks with major upgrades. He noted that what he learned 10 months ago isn't even current today, which is why he extended his participation in the group to stay involved.
Can AI help a business that relies heavily on customer trust?
Scott Mueller uses AI to analyze customer reviews and determine exactly how his audience wants to be talked to. This allows him to establish trust in what he describes as an 'eroding society' by using AI to refine his marketing voice.
