The interview
What is the Mindshare Summit really about for you?
The Mindshare Summit is not just about what you learn. It's about who you know and the person that you can become. So many times as health entrepreneurs, we are in this world and we are alone, we make mistakes, we get frustrated, and we get imposter syndrome. This community puts you in touch with people that are just like you.
Why is it important for you to attend the Summit every year?
One of the most important things is really the relationships and the collaboration that comes from the Summit. Every year, I walk away with new friends, new people that I collaborate with, and really so many business opportunities from anything from supporting each other on book launches or podcasts or TV shows or collaborating around trading clients.
How has your influence grown as a result of attending?
My influence has grown in a lot of ways. For example, last year, I met somebody at the Summit who runs a TV show. I just got interviewed in an eight-part Prime Time TV show from somebody I met at the Summit. I have probably booked something close to 50 podcasts from people that I have met at the Summit. It's also helped get me other opportunities such as Summit and live speaking stages.
What specific skills have you learned at the most recent event?
Just this morning at the Summit, we were talking about body language and facial expression, and I feel like it's really already going to transform simple things. Like the way I approach my team to make sure that I'm delivering the body language that matches the message, as well as how I approach things on camera and other types of live opportunities.
How has the Summit moved the needle in your business?
The summit has really moved the needle in my business by opening up various type of long-term adventures and opportunities. Also, I would say, it's really helped me clarify my passion, my purpose, my vision. And it also helps prevent me from making mistakes. For example, I was talking to somebody in the bathroom who told me about a mistake that had cost her $63,000 on Shopify. Knowing that mistake was something that I could have easily done, and now I get to avoid it just by communicating with friends.
