The interview

What is your professional background and what does your business do?

I'm Dr. Jordan Robertson, a naturopathic doctor from Canada and an expert at integrative medicine research and critical appraisal. I help support clinicians in their practice with The Confident Clinician, which is a practice companion and integrative medicine database specifically curated for clinicians who work in integrative medicine.

What challenges were you facing before joining Mindshare?

I had grown my business to a point that needed support with refinement and polishing some of our systems to have better messaging and better reach. I'm a Canadian, and 80% of our business was in Canada at the time, and we had a goal of growth in the United States specifically.

What specific financial results have you seen since joining?

Since joining Mindshare, we had our best month ever of our new member drive with a $480,000 single month revenue, which was our greatest of all time in our company. We also had our month with the lowest amount of attrition.

How did Mindshare help you improve your customer retention?

I really owe that to us mopping up that customer journey and getting really clear on how to position our offer and our value proposition to our clients, so they really understood how we were going to integrate into their work life so that they couldn't imagine their work life without us.

How do the weekly coaching calls contribute to your success?

The Mindshare weekly coaching calls really help me stay connected and accountable to those very small actions that take place in your business every single week. Attending those calls help you make those very small changes over and over again, week after week, and help keep accountability in your business.

What is your overall philosophy on business growth?

I'm definitely a chess player when it comes to my business, not a checkers player. So I'm always looking at those very slow, strategic changes that need to be made over a long period of time to have the level of growth and sort of explosion that you want in your business at a later date.

Frequently asked

How does Mindshare help with business accountability?

Dr. Jordan Robertson found that the Mindshare weekly coaching calls provided the necessary accountability to stay connected to small, strategic actions. She noted that without this level of connection, it is easy to lose track of the most important tasks required for long-term growth.

Can Mindshare help a Canadian business expand into the United States?

Yes, Dr. Robertson joined Mindshare specifically to grow her reach beyond Canada, where 80% of her business originated. Through the program, she was able to polish her messaging and systems to successfully increase her presence in the U.S. market.

What impact does Mindshare have on customer retention?

Dr. Robertson reported that Mindshare helped her achieve her lowest amount of attrition by 'mopping up' the customer journey. This clarity allowed clients to see exactly how her value proposition integrated into their work lives, making her service indispensable.

I think when you reach a certain point in your career as an entrepreneur and as a professional, you want to invest to put yourself in arenas that give you exposure to people who are going to help you avoid turbulence in your own journey. And that's exactly what I've experienced in the last year being with Mindshare. I'm Dr. Jordan Robertson. I'm a naturopathic doctor from Canada. I'm an expert at integrative medicine research and critical appraisal, specifically for nutrition and integrative medicine. I help support clinicians in their practice with patients with The Confident Clinician, which is a practice companion and integrative medicine database that's specifically curated for clinicians who work in integrative medicine. And when I came across Mindshare, I had grown my business to a point that needed support with refinement and polishing some of our systems to have better messaging and better reach. I'm a Canadian, and so 80% of our business was in Canada at the time of joining Mindshare, and we had a goal of growth in the United States specifically. And actually, my experience through Mindshare in our first eight months did help reduce our attrition in our program and increased our recurring revenue. So since joining Mindshare, we had our best month ever of our new member drive with a $480,000 single month revenue, which was our greatest of all time in our company. Attending those calls help you make those very small changes over and over again, week after week, and help keep accountability in your business. I think it's pretty easy for me to lose track of some of the most important things that I'm working on if I don't have that level of accountability and getting connected with the calls and being very clear about the direction we're moving in has made a huge difference to my progress.
