The interview

What physical challenges were you facing before seeking treatment?

I was struggling to even do short shopping trips because my right knee would hurt so bad and I would be limping so bad. By the time I got through that, even my hip and lower back were hurting. I'd have to go home and take pain medicine and ice packs, hot packs, all of that sort of thing.

What other treatments had you tried previously?

I see a rheumatologist for rheumatoid arthritis. I tried oral medications, physical therapy, steroid injections in my knee, which only gave me very short-term relief.

What attracted you to Pinnacle Integrative's approach?

When I saw their program of just a holistic approach to medicine and just getting healthy in general—losing weight and nutrition, balancing hormones and all of the things that they do there—I was kind of excited to give it a little try because I've struggled with weight loss for years.

What were the results of the weight loss and stem cell treatments?

I got on the semaglutide, did the nutrition program and lost quite a bit of weight that helped a little bit with pain. And then the stem cell treatment did help some with the knee pain and boosted my body's pain fighting ability for quite a while.

How has your recovery progressed since your surgery?

I don't regret going through the stem cell treatment because I've healed extremely well from the surgery, and even my incision looks very advanced. It looks like a year-old incision and it's been 3 1/2 months.

What was your experience with Dr. Schachter and the staff?

Dr. Schachter and his staff are wonderful. You can go in there and talk to them about anything. They'll listen. Dr. Schachter went over and above. He worked with me a little more and made me feel confident that he cared about me as a person and a patient. He believes in what he's doing and it does work.

Frequently asked

Can stem cell therapy help if I still end up needing surgery?

Yes. Laura Burch noted that while she eventually required surgery for a bone spur, the prior stem cell treatment helped her heal 'extremely well' and accelerated the appearance of her incision recovery.

Is the program just about orthopedic surgery?

No, Laura found success through their holistic approach, which includes nutrition, hormone balancing, and semaglutide for weight loss, which helped reduce her overall pain levels.

How does Dr. Schachter interact with his patients?

Laura described Dr. Schachter as someone who goes 'over and above' to make patients feel cared for as people, rather than just trying to sell a program.
