Rebecca Horton found success with Dr. Ana-Maria Temple’s Eczema Transformation Program after Western medicine failed to provide a permanent solution for her son’s eczema. Since completing the program, her son can now wear regular clothes, play in the grass without reactions, and eat foods he enjoys without experiencing skin breakouts or relying on steroids.

The interview
What was your situation before starting the Eczema Transformation Program?
My son was the one that was in the program, and he was diagnosed with eczema at five weeks old. We had tried several things, dermatologists, allergists, and we had been prescribed several steroids and allergy medications to try. While they fixed the problem intermittently, they didn't give us a complete solution.
What made you say yes to the Eczema Transformation Program?
It was the results that I had seen in other people. I actually had a personal acquaintance who had gone through the program and had spoken so highly of it, and she ultimately sold me on doing it because I saw what it did for her son.
Did you have any hesitations before starting?
The cost was part of it, but looking back, it was money well spent and I would do it all over again if I had to. I also had a little hesitation with doing things off the Western path. As a medical provider myself, I am very used to Western medicine and straying to a more naturalistic approach was not something I was as familiar with.
What surprised you the most about the program?
Just the community and how everybody within the program supported each other and how much support we received from the providers. Seeing Everett's doctors in the past, they were just giving us medicine and they'd say, see you in a few weeks. But these providers were there every step of the way, every day of the week if you needed them.
How has your son's life changed since finishing the program?
His life has drastically changed. He can now wear regular clothes without it bothering his skin. He can go outside and play in the grass and not have any reactions or any breakouts. He can eat foods that he enjoys.
Why would you recommend this program to others?
I would recommend it because it works. It's not just putting Band-aids on bullet holes. It's fixing the problem from the inside out. You just have to trust the process. The Facebook group is fantastic with parents sharing recipes and tidbits for the lifestyle change.
What was your experience working with Dr. Temple and her team?
Dr. Temple and her team were fantastic. I felt like I knew them on a personal level just from meeting with them every week. They sincerely took everything you had questions about or had concerns about to heart.
Frequently asked
Is the Eczema Transformation Program worth the cost?
Rebecca Horton noted that while the cost made her hesitant initially, looking back she considers it money well spent and would do it all over again. She felt the results for her son's health justified the investment.
Can a medical professional trust a naturalistic approach to eczema?
As a medical provider herself, Rebecca was initially hesitant to stray from Western medicine. However, she has since completely flipped her perspective to a naturalistic approach because the program fixed the problem from the inside out.
What kind of support does Dr. Ana-Maria Temple provide?
Rebecca found the support to be constant, noting that providers were available every step of the way and every day of the week if needed, unlike her previous experiences with traditional doctors.
