Biologic Dentist Recommends Natural Oral Care for Root Cause Healing and Remineralization

Hi, my name is Dr. Rachaele Carver, and I'm shooting this video because six months ago, I was looking for a product that I could give to my patients and try on myself, friends of the family. Some naturopaths even will say up to 80% of disease stems from the oral cavity. And the reason why a lot of people don't understand this is because many infections in the mouth are asymptomatic. So physicians are not trained. A lot of dentists don't even understand how an abscessed tooth can dramatically impact the rest of the body. 20% of our lymph is in our head and neck. So if we have gum disease or any kind of pathogenic bacteria, we're swallowing that. It's getting right into our bloodstream, getting right into our gut, which majorly impacts our nervous system, our immune system. So it's very, very important. So as a biologic dentist, I'm always considering how do we create a healthy terrain in the body? But why did these bugs become bad in the first place? Why did they overgrow? We all have good and bad bugs in our microbiome, and it's when the balance gets out of whack that we have disease. So instead of trying to kill something, like with a mouthwash per se, such as listerine, even the chlorhexidine that you get at a lot of dental offices, that can also kill the good bacteria, good bacteria is absolutely vital for our immune system. Good bacteria is really important to create nitric oxide, which helps keep our blood vessels dilated so oxygen can get to all of our tissues. So if we kill these good bacteria and can't make nitric oxide anymore, we're compromising our heart health as well. And a lot of traditional products are just loaded with chemicals. As I said, there are 80,000 chemicals in our environment today. Many of them we can't avoid because they're in the air, they're in the water. So creating that awareness and removing those from your daily life is going to make a major impact on your overall health.
