The interview
What was your business situation before joining Thrive Academy?
I have over 30 years of experience as an interior decorator, home stager, and lifestyle strategist. I was part of a different mastermind and my business was not moving as I needed it to move. I was having sporadic discovery calls with potential clients, but I needed more structure to actually open up conversations online.
How did you first discover Thrive Academy?
There was an advertisement from Thrive and Sharla was speaking and was making an invitation to come to a three-day free client attraction mastery. I just decided to see what this was all about to see if I could get more help because I did know that I needed more support and more structure for my interior design business and virtual consulting business.
What were your initial thoughts regarding the cost of the program?
I was waiting for the drop to come down and say this was going to be out of my budget because there was so much that they provided. When they gave the flat fee, I was like 'ding this works, this will work for me.' To be honest, I was paying a whole lot more for the mastermind that I was currently in at the time.
What changes have you noticed in your client outreach process?
In the beginning, I was doing more social media posts and at the end making a call to action and inviting people to book a call, and I would get ghosted. But what I'm seeing now is that I'm having better conversations and I'm doing my best to follow the templates, which keeps me on track and it's making a big difference.
What has been the most impactful part of the training for you?
The biggest turning point was when I saw how much support the academy offers. The daily structure of meeting online with either Jesse, Jen, or Sharla—I couldn't believe that this was going to be a daily support system. It's been the best type of training that I've had over the years.
How would you describe the Thrive Academy community?
The support of other thrivers is an exchange that's going back and forth. It's not just like posting something and you just get a like but no comment. The energy is just unmatched, it truly is unmatched.
What specific results have you seen in your daily operations?
I've been able to actually keep on schedule with my daily activities for my business. The guides are there to show you how to structure your day and that makes you more successful by being consistent. Before I was having little or no success in actually getting people to have a consult with me.
