Gayathri Padma achieved a successful pregnancy and healthy baby with Reimagined Health after struggling for over three years with PCOS and recurrent miscarriages. Despite failed IVF transfers and genetically normal embryos, Dr. Nashat Latib’s 12-week functional medicine program addressed missing health links through personalized lab reviews, nutrition, and mental health support.

I feel like it's a miracle at the end of it because we defied all the odds eventually felt like a normal pregnancy.
Even though the embryos were genetically normal, we were still not sure what was causing the miscarriages. There was a big piece in my health journey that was missing and nobody was able to figure it out.
The fact that we had access to the doctors ourselves without going through somebody in between and waiting for their answers was really great.

The interview

Can you describe your mindset heading into your next transfer after working with Reimagined Health?

I was really excited for the next transfer. Obviously, I was very nervous trying to test again, and even if the test was positive, I was in the same spiral of whether it was going to stick and if we would have a healthy pregnancy at the end of this. It feels like a miracle because we defied all the odds eventually.

What was the ultimate outcome of your journey with the program?

Everything was going okay and I had a healthy baby at the end of it. She's a beautiful little 14-month-old now. I'm actually thinking about a second baby already, which is just weird. I'm more excited than how we were feeling before we had the first baby.

What health challenges were you facing before starting functional medicine?

I had PCOS for a long time and I was trying to fix it through various journeys like supplements, working with acupuncturists, and a lot of things I did on my own in terms of diet and nutrition. I had recurrent miscarriages on top of that. We were trying to conceive for over three years before trying to go down the route of trying to fix it ourselves and also considering IVF and IUI.

Why did you choose to work with Dr. Nashat Latib specifically?

I had been following various health coaches on Instagram, and the fact that Dr. Nashat had an IVF journey of her own and moved into a more holistic medicine perspective really resonated with me. One of our miscarriages was also from IVF, and even though the embryos were genetically normal, we were still not sure what was causing it. My reproductive endocrinologist couldn't figure out what exactly was wrong.

What was your experience like during the onboarding and the 12-week program?

When we first onboarded, it was obviously a lot of materials to go through like all the educational videos plus the weekly calls we had with the doctors. I liked the fact that they wanted us to focus on diet and our mental health. The program really kept us on our toes and kept us motivated for the entire 12 weeks.

How was the support and accessibility of the medical team?

The dietitians we worked with were knowledgeable. After the calls, they were always supportive of reviewing the lab results and getting us the help we needed right away through emails. Being accessible anytime we needed them was the best part of the program. The fact that we had access to the doctors ourselves without going through somebody in between was really great.

What advice would you give to others considering this program?

If you have tried everything on your own, like looking at supplements on Amazon or following someone on Instagram, working with Dr. Nashat is definitely a good next step. Even if you don't get pregnant right away, you will be in a different position than you were three months ago, and looking at this in a positive way is huge for your mental health.

Frequently asked

What if I have already tried supplements and diet changes for PCOS on my own?

Gayathri had already tried various supplements, acupuncturists, and diet changes independently without success. She found that Reimagined Health provided the missing piece by offering expert lab reviews and direct access to doctors that she couldn't achieve on her own.

Can functional medicine help if IVF embryos are genetically normal but still failing?

Yes, Gayathri experienced miscarriages even with genetically normal embryos from IVF. She credits Dr. Nashat Latib with identifying the missing health factors that her reproductive endocrinologist could not figure out, leading to a healthy pregnancy.

Is the Reimagined Health program time-consuming for patients?

Gayathri noted there were many materials to go through, including educational videos and weekly calls. However, she felt the 12-week program kept her motivated and provided direct email access to doctors for immediate support.

Gayathri (00:00) Of course, yeah. I we were really excited for the next transfer. obviously I was very nervous trying to test again and not even if the test was positive, I was like in the same spiral of whether it's going to stick and we will have a healthy pregnancy at the end of this. I feel like it's a miracle at the end of it because we defied all the odds eventually felt like a normal pregnancy Everything was going okay and I had a healthy baby at the end of it and she's a beautiful little 14 month old now Hi, my name is Gayathri. I am from Seattle, Washington. I had PCOS for a long time before even I was considering functional medicine and I was trying to fix it through various like journey like supplements, working with acupuncturists like a lot of things that I did on my own in terms of diet and nutrition before considering functional medicine and to work with Reimagined Health. and I had recurrent miscarriages on top of that. So we were trying to conceive for over three years before trying to go down the route of trying to fix it ourselves and also considering IVF and IUI and getting some medicine, the help of doctors to help us try to conceive. So obviously I have been following various health coaches on Instagram and the fact that Dr. Nashat had an IVF journey of her own and her trying to move into a more holistic medicine perspective after she had her IVF babies really resonated with me a lot because our miscarriages one of the miscarriages were also from IVF. So even though the embryos were genetically normal, we were still not sure what was causing the miscarriages. So there was a big piece in in my health journey that was missing and nobody was able to figure it out. Even my doctor, reproductive endocrinologist couldn't figure out what exactly was wrong with When we first on boarded it was obviously a lot of materials to go through like all the educational videos plus the weekly calls we had with the doctors and all the supportive programs they were offering. I like the fact that they wanted us to be not just on the supplement front, they wanted us to focus on diet, our mental health. So I really liked the class I took with Melissa regarding general motivation, where we could talk about anything that's going on in our lives and how we could stay motivated through the program. the program really kept us on toes and being motivated for the entire 12 weeks. The dietitians we worked with were obviously knowledgeable of that so I appreciated the fact that I was able to get the help I needed from the dietitian After the calls they were always supportive of reviewing the lab results and whatnot and getting us the help we needed right away through emails and being accessible anytime we needed them was the best part of the program The fact that we had access to the doctors ourselves without going through somebody in between and waiting for their answers was really life is just so exciting and I'm actually thinking about second baby already so it's just weird. I'm more excited than how we were feeling before we had the first baby. I'm actually believing that we could do this again. I think they played a really big part focusing and making ourselves better for the future transfer, but also us in a positive mindset overall. if you have tried everything on your own like looked at supplements on Amazon obviously we have all done that like we try to follow somebody's journey maybe on Instagram who may have had a similar journey as you. Working with Dr. Nashat is definitely a good next step. At the end of it, would say if you don't get pregnant right away, that's fine, but you will be in a different position than three months ago, how we were three months ago. And overall, looking at this in a positive way is going to be huge on somebody's mental health.
