Kristen Maughan achieved natural pregnancy through Reimagined Health after a three-and-a-half-year fertility journey. By working with Dr. Nashat Latib and Dr. Christina, Kristen transitioned from poor gut health and inflammatory habits to a clean-eating lifestyle, ultimately conceiving naturally and avoiding the high costs and chemicals associated with IVF treatments.

Primary Use Case
Natural fertility and hormonal health optimization
Reported Result
Successful natural conception and pregnancy
Cost Comparison
Significantly less than $30,000 - $40,000 IVF treatments
It is possible to conceive naturally. And to be able to do that was our dream and it's become a dream realized because we are pregnant now.
IVF would have been 30, 40 grand and that's just for, like, one egg and one embryo. And that's way too crazy-expensive... if there's a natural way to do it and it's less expensive this is the move.
I now know my body better than I ever have before. If you don't want to do all the chemicals and all of that, like, do this. This is the first step toward motherhood.

The interview

Can you describe your fertility journey and the role Reimagined Health played?

My husband and I have been on our fertility journey for three and a half years now. We've been wanting to be parents for a long time, and I don't think that we would be where we are today without Reimagined Health, Dr. Nashat, Dr. Christina, and the community. It is possible to conceive naturally, and that's become a dream realized because we are pregnant now.

How did the mind-body coaching impact your progress?

There's been so many times I've gone to the mind-body calls, which are my favorite now, where I've just felt like, 'I don't know why I'm doing this.' Once I just let go and Jen—our mind-body coach—said just float, and I just relaxed, it happened. It was all of a month outside of the program.

What was your health like before starting the program?

Before working with Dr. Christina and Dr. Nashat, my health was not the best. I wasn't taking care of myself, I wasn't working out, I was eating a lot of sugar, I was drinking a lot of coffee, and I'm lactose intolerant and I pretended like I wasn't for basically my entire life. That really impacted my gut health.

Did you have any hesitations about joining the program?

If there was anything that made us hesitant toward joining the program was... is this going to work? And yes, financially, you're splashing out a decent amount of money, but it's not even close to how much IVF would cost. IVF would have been 30, 40 grand and that's just for one egg and one embryo.

What specific lifestyle changes did you and your husband make?

We have learned how to eat clean. We lost weight right off the bat by going gluten-free and dairy-free. I realized how much my skin was reacting to that, and my husband's allergies were changing because he was allergic to more things than we thought he was when we were pulling things out of his diet.

What surprised you most about the experience?

I think what surprised us the most was just how empowered we could be ourselves to make these changes and actually see results. The community definitely helps support that because you have other people in this with you. We had been alone for so long on this journey and there are so many other people out there going through the same.

What is your advice to others who are on the fence about joining?

If you're on the fence or feel like it's too expensive, if you don't start today and you put this off, you're going to regret it later. You're learning health and all the labs you need to know. It's so important to know yourself so deeply before you become a mother. If you don't want to do all the chemicals, do this.

Frequently asked

Is Reimagined Health worth the financial investment?

Kristen Maughan noted that while the program requires 'splashing out a decent amount of money,' it is far less expensive than IVF, which she estimated at $30,000 to $40,000 per embryo. She concluded the investment was worth it because it resulted in a successful pregnancy without the need for expensive medical procedures.

Can I conceive naturally if I've been struggling for years?

Yes, Kristen had been on a fertility journey for three and a half years before joining the program. By focusing on clean eating, removing inflammatory foods like gluten and dairy, and utilizing mind-body coaching, she was able to realize her dream of natural conception.

What is the community support like at Reimagined Health?

Kristen found the community essential for accountability and emotional support during 'dark moments.' She highlighted the value of sharing recipes and commiserating with others who are also following strict dietary protocols to reach their health goals.

My husband and I have been on our fertility journey for... I'd say three and a half years now. And we've been wanting to be parents for a long time before that and I don't think that we would be where we are today without Reimagine Health and Dr. Nashat and Dr. Christina and the community that they've built here. Because we saw and see and continue to, that it is possible to conceive naturally. And to be able to do that was our dream and it's become a dream realized because we are pregnant now. And I don't know if I would have had that motivation on my own and having everybody kind of rally around each other when you're in your dark moments. Like, there's been so many times I've gone to the mind body calls, which are my favorite now where I've just felt like, I don't know why I'm doing this, It's not happening and whatever. And it was all of a month outside of the program and I'm, like, being a spoiled brat over it and 'why isn't this happening?' And once I just let go and Jen - our mind body coach - says just float. Once I just floated and let things be and just relaxed, it happened. I'm Kristen Maughan and I am from Orange County, California. Before working with Dr. Christina and Dr. Nashat my health was not the best. I wasn't taking care of myself, I wasn't working out, I was eating a lot of sugar, I was drinking a lot of coffee and I'm lactose intolerant and I pretended like I wasn't for basically my entire life. And that really impacted my gut health and I never realized how much until I started working with Reimagined Health. If there was anything that made us hesitant toward joining the program was... is this going to work? And yes, financially, you're splashing out a decent amount of money but it's not even close to how much IVF would cost and you're pumping your body with chemicals when it's not ready or prepared to host a little one. So, doing that and paying that 'a little bit more than maybe we could financially afford at the time' was worth it because we're here now. IVF would have been 30, 40 grand and that's just for, like, one egg and one embryo. And that's way too crazy- expensive... as a down payment on a house. I think if there's a natural way to do it and it's less expensive this is the move. Working with Reimagined Health has changed both mine and my husband's lives because we have learned how to eat clean. We thought we were eating clean before but it has definitely changed, like, our skin and we lost weight right off the bat by going gluten free and dairy free and realizing like how much my skin was reacting to that and how my husband's allergies were changing because he was allergic to more things than we thought he was when we were pulling things out of his diet. So... this is something that we will take on after the program into our future and our whole lives and the way that we raise our kids and how they eat and think about exercise and diet and all of that. That is something that we feel Reimagined Health has definitely done for us. We are so grateful. I think what surprised us the most was just how empowered we could be - ourselves - to make these changes and actually see results. The community definitely helps support that because you have other people in this with you that it's like, 'dang, I can't have that chocolate cake. I can't.' And you can commiserate with other people over this, you know, ridiculous, like, piece of chocolate that you can't eat or whatever. Then you find fun ways with those people to create new recipes or like, "hey, I tried this new recipe and it tasted exactly like this sweet treat that I love." But that is really cool to be able to share recipes with each other and just kind of keep each other going and accountable. And that was something I think that surprised both of us. That we had been alone for so long on this journey and there are so many other people out there that are going through the same and that was wonderful. So, I don't think I would have been able to do that without the coaches or the community here and my husband being such a huge support. If you're on the fence or feel like it's too expensive or whatever excuses you're making, if you don't start today and you put this off, you're going to regret it later - I guarantee it. So much more than just splashing out some money to be in a program. You're learning health, you're learning all the labs that you need to know. It's like every question you've ever asked about your fertility to yourself or Googled, you'll have people - doctors and coaches - to help you understand your body and it's so important to know yourself so deeply before you become a mother. I think that that's the most important takeaway for me is that, I now know all of those things. I now know my body better than I ever have before. ii you don't want to do all the chemicals and all of that, like, do this. This is the first step toward motherhood and becoming a parent. Take the leap of faith and this is your first jump into the rest of your life. Like, let's go. There's no excuse.
