The interview
Could you introduce yourself and your background?
My name is Ben Pezold from St. Charles, Missouri, and I am an investor and my day job is I sell training guards.
How did you first hear about Sunrise Capital Investors?
I heard about Sunrise Capital Investors on Facebook.
What would have caused you to walk away from this investment opportunity?
Something that would have made me walk away would have been lack of transparency, and lack of reporting.
What made you decide to move forward with Sunrise Capital?
What made me move forward with Sunrise was that they answered all my questions, they took the time to meet with me, and they showed me their reporting and made the process very easy.
What specifically attracted you to this investment?
What attracted me to Sunrise and this Investment was the affordable housing. That's a major issue in this country, and we need more affordable housing. Parking... I didn't know a whole lot of it. That wasn't the big part of it. But now that I've been in it, I really do like it because especially in these urban areas, there's not enough parking.
What is the long-term benefit of these assets for you?
Well, the benefit of these assets is that they can be owned for a long time. What I do like about Sunrise is that I don't have to go shopping for another investment. I can just let it ride. And, you know, I plan on holding these funds forever.
How has your experience been with their distribution schedule and communication?
My overall experience with sunrise has been that whatever the schedule is, the distributions are every quarter, but they're like clockwork. They come every time, on time. The information, you know, they send out the monthly updates—some of the other syndications I'm in, sometimes they're a little bit later. They don't come on time or they don't hit the bank on time, like they normally are supposed to, but all of these things just flow like clockwork.
What do you think of the leadership and their accessibility?
I like listening to Brian and Kevin's calls. They do webinars once in a while, and you know, then they do answer all the questions that you have if you tune in live.
What advice would you give to someone considering an investment with Sunrise?
If you're sitting on the fence about investing with Sunrise, I would definitely get on the call with one of them, and get your questions answered. They're always willing to help. They always answer the questions that I have. And I'd go for it cause you'll be glad you did.
