The interview
What was your initial impression of The Bigelow Team's attitude toward your search?
They were always really enthused about it—it was almost like they were buying their own house. They were just really happy and would ask, 'Do you like this? What don't you like?'
Did you feel pressured to make a purchase during the process?
You would think somebody would be pushing you, but they were actually real friendly, like, laid back. They kind of let you make the decisions yourself.
How did they assist you with the complexities of buying a home?
This process is very tough and there are a lot of things you don't know about. They really helped us out with the whole process of being able to figure out what home we were interested in and how we were going to be able to manage to get into it.
What specific advice did they give you to ensure the deal went through?
They told us all the little things that you need to know, like don't do any crazy big payments or big buys while we were in the process.
How responsive was the team when you wanted to see a property?
As soon as we were ready to look at a house, she would call and make it happen right away.
Have they provided any support since you moved into your home?
They're still helping us right now. It really hasn't stopped. We had a question about the roof and a warranty, and she helped us find the paper that had the number and everything so we could get our questions answered.
What would you tell someone considering working with them?
I would say to definitely give them a call because they'll answer every single question and they'll also give you a reason why you shouldn't do it. They lay out everything for you even if you don't know.
