The interview
Can you introduce yourself and your work?
I'm Dr. Susan Fox. I'm a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine in Northern California, and I'm also the founder of Health University, an online program where we help women and couples improve their fertile health so that whether they're trying to conceive naturally or going through advanced reproductive therapies like IVF or egg freezing, they have better success.
How did you first encounter KnoWEwell and why did you want to join?
I met Kimberly and Brian at an event and I was first just taken with them and Kimberly's origin story. What she has created at KnoWEwell is not just a gathering. It is really a heartfelt commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of the planet. Her platform is so inclusive—including homeopathy, chiropractic, Chinese medicine, functional medicine, and psychology—that I wanted to be a part of it.
What makes the KnoWEwell event experience unique for practitioners?
The event included presentations and PowerPoints because we need to know what's current, but it also spliced in movement together, breathing together, and singing together. These are things that touch our hearts beyond our brain. I loved that it wound these soulful parts of being human into the event so we didn't leave exhausted from data overload.
How does the organization's mission affect the services they provide to you?
The culture born of Kimberly's mission really trickles down throughout the entire organization. Everyone has a clear commitment to make the best possible product and service for me to deliver to the audience. I don't get that elsewhere. My webcasts at KnoWEwell have an added layer of commitment, making the marketing more personal so the outreach can really touch someone's heart and soul.
Why would you recommend KnoWEwell to other health colleagues?
I have recommended KnoWEwell to as many colleagues and friends as I can because I want everyone to have a chance to present their materials and courses to an audience that is receptive and nurtured. They have created a coalition of like-minded providers dedicated to improving the lives of our people and our planet. I can't think of anybody else doing this.
