The interview

How did you feel when you first started the program?

Well, at first, feel bad when you go into the program and that felt really bad. I didn't know what I continued on. I didn't want to quit. So I just hung onto it. I think it took about two months, two and a half months or so to clear up.

What kind of results have you seen since sticking with it?

Things started evolving. I was telling my coach that I've returned about 10, 20 years of my life back. I mean, simple stuff. Let's go to the bathroom. I couldn't even go to the bathroom without problems, without issues.

What was your health journey like before finding Urban Monk?

I've been trying to eat healthy for a long time. I tried keto, tried carnivore. I was always extremely tired, fatigued. I didn't know what was wrong. Then I saw that email about food sensitivity. So I thought, well, I'm going to try this out.

What made you trust Dr. Pedram Shojai and the program?

When I listened to the doctor, he was genuine. He was really truthful and he was present. Plus, the first few interviews had all of these different doctors that I recognized. He's on the right track.

What specific health triggers did you discover?

I noticed what my body doesn't or does not like, but before, I couldn't tell. Dairy—is very sensitive to dairy. And I was gobbling that cheese every day. You know, just swelling up all over in here. And so I quit dairy.

How has your diet and eating environment changed?

First, I was just on a cardboard diet, just eating meat all the time. And when I went out to just eat, my meat just went down to nothing. And eat lots of salad. And my body said, thank you. I still tend to overeat, so what I do now is have a bright light you have in a sunroom. I'm starting to eat my meals in there instead of in front of a TV or a computer.

Have you noticed any mental or cognitive improvements?

I used to have random thoughts that went through my head. Not exactly good, I don't know, negative crap. I started doing that and eliminated all that stuff.
