The interview

What specific health improvements did you see in your lab values?

My lab values have really turned around for the better. My A1C went from 5.3 down to 4.9, and my cholesterol went from 205 to 169. There's a lot of the lab values that I was concerned about that has really helped me turn the corner.

What was your life like before working with Dr. Mallick and Zayba?

Before working with Dr. Mallick and Zayba, my life was dealing with a breast cancer journey. I was really researching what could I do to make myself healthier. I couldn't control the cancer, but I could control what I ate, when I exercised, and what I could do to prevent a recurrence.

What was the breaking point that led you to seek help with gut health?

The breaking point really was with gut health. The more I did in the research, gut health was 80% of your immune system. Having a healthy gut, not going from constipation to diarrhea, was really important to make sure you were giving your gut the vitamins and minerals it needed to function.

What methods had you tried in the past that failed?

Some things that I tried in the past that did not work was crashing into a diet, thinking I should eliminate carbs or go high protein. I also thought walking was enough to keep the weight off, but I was concerned about how to get body fat off as a post-menopausal woman.

Why did you decide to trust Dr. Mallick and Zayba?

I saw their advertisement on Facebook and signed up for a meet-and-greet. What he had to say hit home with me. He and Zayba were very friendly and took the time to listen to me at the seminar about what my goals were.

How do you feel now that you have completed the program?

I feel better now that we're starting to build our body mass. Now I feel like I can actually have some muscles and I'm doing what's good for my body. Your skin starts to look better, your body starts to feel better, and you have more energy.
