The interview
What is your main takeaway or outlook on life after attending 40 Years of Zen?
My outlook or takeaway on life is that I can handle it with a lot more grace and just be relaxed in any decision that I make moving forward. I just don't feel reactive to reactions or anything like that; I just feel very centered.
What are you most excited about as you move forward from this experience?
Moving forward, I'm most excited about just leaving the past behind and creating a new future. I think that is going to be so much fun, especially just I'm in the second half of my life so to speak, my boys are older, I'm starting a new marriage and I just think it's going to be really, really exciting. I almost like starting it like with a new personality.
Why would you recommend 40 Years of Zen to others?
I would recommend 40 Years of Zen because for all the people that's had like me, that have gone through a lot of different retreats, modalities, you know self-help for years and years and it just felt like nothing really stuck or worked. This feels like it's the missing piece to that.
What makes this program the 'missing piece' compared to other modalities?
You have the data in front of you so that really solidifies the changes so you can see them. I feel like when you can see them, you can believe them and then you can like embody them. I think that was the missing piece for me and maybe for others that have been part of this world—the spiritual / self-help, whatever you want to call it.
How has this impacted your journey of self-improvement?
We all try to become better versions of ourselves but I think that has been the game changer for us. Hi, I'm Jessica Anson. I'm from Charlotte, North Carolina.
