Overcoming 17 Years of Chronic Symptoms to Regain Travel and Mobility

I would say her availability was a bit of a surprise to me. I did not expect to be able to have communication with my doctor - through texting, through bimonthly video chats with other patients. That has been something that I didn't expect and has been monumental and really beneficial in terms of getting questions answered in between meetings or consultations with her. My name is Denny David. I live in Santa Ana, California, and I am retired. For about 15 years I wasn't completely incapacitated. However, I had some really strange symptoms that no doctor could diagnose. And I had met with several functional medicine doctors and nobody has been able to help me. Like Dr. Whisler. My concern in the beginning, quite honestly, was, you know, can I do what Dr. Whisler needs me to do in order to at least begin to heal? So, there was some fear wrapped around that. So this program, working with Dr. Whisler, has been different in numerous ways. One is the targeted approach she uses by utilizing testing is very unique and it was not something I had ever experienced before. And while looking at the test results - it was pretty confusing to me - she knew exactly what to do and at what intervals to change things up so that my healing process moved along at a pace my body was willing do and the natural course. My issue stemmed around not being able to go in hot weather because I had some circulation issues where my feet would get very swollen and overheated and I had to stay in temperatures that were under, like, 80 or 85 degrees. And I have confidence that I will fully recover. But at this point, I can be in warmer weather. My circulation has changed a lot. I had a lot of other symptoms, nerve-related symptoms. A lot of digestive issues that are just... better than they were. I recommend Dr. Whisler highly. I cannot imagine that there's any other doctor out in the world that could have identified and worked with the symptoms I've had and the challenges that have gone on for something like 17 years. So, I really thought there isn't anything that's going to happen that will change the direction of my life. I wasn't able to travel as much because I had circulation issues and getting on an airplane was difficult; long flights. And Dr. Whisler has completely changed my life and my attitude toward what I can do during my retirement. And I'm very, very fortunate because I have a wonderful partner and we do lots of travel, and now I'm able to do it. And I think maybe, you know, 6 more months of this and I'm going to be probably feeling younger than I did 10 years ago.
