The interview

Who are you and where are you from?

I am Leigh Wager and I am from Seattle, Washington.

What was your primary focus during your week at 40 Years of Zen?

I spent a lot of time this week focusing on kind of my inner worth and inner confidence. I've always been a confident and competitive person externally and in situations, but I think holistically looking at myself and trusting that regardless of the situation, I spend a lot of time focused there.

What was the specific internal shift you experienced regarding self-worth?

Again, kind of reminding myself that I am enough and I'm confident and I'm worth it on an ongoing basis.

What was your biggest takeaway from the experience?

I think my biggest takeaway is there's a lot already in front of me and available for me and I had a lot of what started feeling like walls and ended feeling like loose light veils that I could simply brush away.

How did these 'walls' affect your daily life and work?

I started feeling like I had a lot of walls put up around my community, the people around me, what I was trying to get out of work. I felt like I had a gap on the kind of personal side and didn't know what to fill there and kind of worked through where that came from and realized a lot of them were actually kind of already there and really worked on ways to access those.
