My name is Marisol Murillo. After attending 40 Years of Zen, my outlook in life is more positive. I am not scared of the future as I used to be.

I learned to live in the present, be present in the moment, and also I've learned to use compassion to overcome anger.

What are you most excited about as you return to your daily life?

I'm most excited about living life, the new person that I am after this week. I'm excited to see how I deal with the day to day things that happen in life, and I'm excited about the relationship that I will have with my husband from now on.

Why would you recommend 40 Years of Zen to others?

I would recommend 40 Years of Zen to others because I feel like there's so many people out there that don't realize that the traumas that we've been through... that there is hope for us to find peace.

What was the ultimate takeaway from your experience?

That we can find forgiveness, that we can reach compassion and 40 Years of Zen did that for me.

My name is Marisol Murillo. So after attending 40 Years of Zen, my outlook in life is more positive. I am not scared of the future as I used to be.
