The interview
What was your goal when you arrived at 40 Years of Zen?
I arrived a week ago to 40 Years of Zen with the concept and the idea of figuring out a better way to be. I was struggling with the performance of my brain, and I thought it was a better place to be.
How would you describe your life before coming to the program?
Before coming to 40 Years of Zen my life was a little stressed. I think that I was going towards a path of no focus. Like, I felt very distracted, and I felt that I was going to a place not always having a full command of the situation. I felt like I was doing things, but not necessarily having an intention.
What specific improvements have you seen in your brain and mindset?
After this week, I can see my brain being in a much better place, and I can see clarity. The reason why I came to 40 Years of Zen was to help organize my mind, my intention, and my willpower. And I saw, based on what I heard from it that it will help me create a better version of me. And I think already that better version is here.
What did you appreciate most about the program's environment and staff?
What I appreciate the most of 40 Years of Zen is that it seems curated very well. So from the trainings to the pods to the cooking, to talking to Noah my facilitators, I feel like we're all in the same wave of energy. I feel welcome.
What has been the biggest impact of this week for you?
The biggest impact for me this week in 40 Years of Zen is the clarity. The clarity that I can see situations. How can I move away from emotions, but be emotional if I want to. But that clarity allows me to digest situation in a better way.
Why would you recommend 40 Years of Zen to a friend?
The main reason why I would recommend 40 Years of Zen to a friend is because it guides you to your better self without you knowing what that is. Like, there is a missing part of you, or there is an organization needed in you that you still haven't yet to figure out what it is. And I think that you can find it here.
