The interview

What was your practice like before you started using Advanced Allergy Therapeutics?

I'm a chiropractor in California. I've been in practice at about 41 years now. For the first 23-24 years of my practice, I had a traditional chiropractic practice, and there were a number of issues with that. I had difficulty getting new patients in, the insurance billing, and I was kind of stuck in a musculoskeletal practice. I always wanted to do more.

How has your practice changed since you took the AAT training in 2007?

Everything's changed in my practice. I have almost more patients than I can handle. I have an unlimited source of new patients coming in. It's a 100% cash practice now, so there's no more insurance hassles or insurance billing. Once I switched over to AAT, all of that was eliminated.

What kind of clinical results are you seeing with your patients?

The results are quite remarkable. The majority of my practice at this point is chronically ill people that primarily have chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. Once you remove the allergies and sensitivities, the inflammation drops down, the autoimmune goes away, and they basically get their life back.

What specific conditions are you now able to treat that you couldn't before?

Now I'm able to handle chronic digestive issues, respiratory problems, migraines, fibromyalgia responds really well to this, and autoimmune conditions. In the chronic pain area, you'll find that most chronic pain is due to inflammation, and so by reducing inflammation using AAT, you're indirectly treating pain as well.

How does the referral rate compare to your previous chiropractic model?

The number of referrals that I get are off the charts. Whereas before, when I was doing chiropractic, of course I got referrals, but nowhere near to the degree that I get now. Once that word gets out that you can help patients no one else can help, it just opens the floodgates of patients into your practice.

What was the learning curve like for the AAT system?

I'd say from the time I left the training until I felt I was fully functional, it was maybe 3-4 weeks. If I can do it, anybody can do it, because I'm not a big computer guy, I'm not a big tech guy. Within about a month, I was up and running with it.

Frequently asked

Is Advanced Allergy Therapeutics difficult for non-technical doctors to learn?

Dr. Jim Stalker noted that despite not being a 'big computer guy' or a 'tech guy,' he was able to become fully functional with the system within 3 to 4 weeks of completing the training.

Can a chiropractor treat conditions beyond back and neck pain using AAT?

Yes, Dr. Stalker transitioned from a traditional musculoskeletal practice to successfully treating chronic digestive issues, respiratory problems, migraines, fibromyalgia, and autoimmune conditions by reducing inflammation.

How does AAT affect a medical practice's billing and insurance requirements?

According to Dr. Stalker, switching to AAT allowed him to eliminate insurance billing entirely, creating a 100% cash practice where patients pay immediately for services without claims denials or delays.

Full transcript

Hi, this is Dr. Jim Stalker. I'm a chiropractor in California. I've been in practice at about 41 years now for the first 23-24 years of my practice. I had a traditional chiropractic practice, and there were a number of issues with that. I had, you know, sometimes difficulty getting new patients in, the insurance billing, kind of stuck in a musculoskeletal practice and I always wanted to do more, so I took the AAT training back in 2007— which is 17 years ago now —and everything's changed in my practice. I have almost more patients than I can handle. I have an unlimited source of new patients coming in. Its a 100% cash practice now, so there's no more insurance hassles or insurance billing so I'd recommend this to any doctor that wants to take their practice to the next level. Okay, so I've been in practice for 41 years, so for about my first 23-24 years, I had a traditional chiropractic practice, and I had a lot of issues with that. I always had trouble getting new patients, getting patients to follow through. At that time, I was billing insurance, and that—kind of a nightmare in itself. Once I switched over to AAT, all of that was eliminated. I have more patients than I can even handle right now. I'm not dealing with insurance companies. Everything's just been fantastic ever since I started. Well, the results are quite remarkable. The majority of my practice at this point is chronically ill people that primarily have chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions and as far as I know, there's really nothing else that can touch that in existence today, but I'm able to routinely help those patients that are chronically ill, they're not getting help anywhere else, and once you remove the allergies and sensitivities, the inflammation drops down, the autoimmune goes away, and they basically get their life back. Well, as a chiropractor I had primarily a musculoskeletal practice, and I always kind of wanted to move out of that and treat other things aside from back pain, neck pain, joint pain, muscles, so once I started with AAT, now I'm able to handle chronic digestive issues, respiratory problems, migraines, fibromyalgia responds really well to this, autoimmune conditions, in the chronic pain area too, you'll find that most chronic pain is due to inflammation, and so by reducing inflammation using AAT, you're indirectly treating pain as well. So, well, since starting with AAT, this is back in '07. I was actually in the very first training for AAT in Hollywood, Florida, in 2007. Since that time, the changes are... there's a whole host of changes that I've seen in my practice. Number one, I have more patients, really, than I can handle at this point. The number of referrals that I get are off the charts. Whereas before, when I was doing chiropractic, of course I got referrals, but nowhere near to the degree that I get now. The bottom line with AAT, you're going to be able to help patients that no one else can help, and once that word gets out, it just opens the floodgates of patients into your practice. The other issues that I used to have in chiropractic is that I was billing insurance. There's no insurance with this, and people will gladly pay you cash for your services here. So the number of referrals, it's a cash practice. I actually don't even have an office anymore. I love the fact that you provide a service and you get paid for it right then and there. There's no waiting, there's no stalling of claims, there's no denial of claims. You get paid right now. I love that AAT has allowed me to become a cash-based practice. I get a lot of chronic digestive issues, irritable bowel, inflammatory bowel, GERD, acid reflux, bloating, abdominal pain—I see a lot of that —and, you know, people don't go to a chiropractor generally for those types of conditions. I see a lot of respiratory issues. That's the vast majority of the patients I see, and I really never saw those before when I was doing chiropractic. Well, like anything else, there's a learning curve but I'd say when I took the training, again, this is... 16 years ago? I'd say from the time I left the training until I felt I was fully functional, it was maybe 3-4 weeks. if I can do it, anybody can do it, because I'm not a big computer guy, I'm not a big tech guy. Like I said, within about a month, I was up and running with it. This is something that you can add to your practice. It would take your practice to a whole new level particularly if you're a chiropractor and you're in that musculoskeletal arena and you like to move on from that. It doesn't mean you have to stop doing that, but if you want to add to that AAT is the perfect addition to your practice. It's not difficult to learn. Again, you'll attract patients with conditions that you've never seen before and you'll be able to handle those successfully. So yes, absolutely. I recommend it 100%.
