The interview
Can you introduce yourself and your background?
Hi, my name is Steve D'Annunzio. I live in Nashville, Tennessee, and I am a business consultant in the financial services industry.
What motivated you to seek out Advanced Longevity at age 69?
I'm 69 years old and I want to live another 30 years of great quality years. I started to notice my health deteriorating in my 60s and I wanted to make sure that I was maximizing the opportunity to live with a high quality life.
Why do people sometimes hesitate to get these advanced body scans?
I think the only thing is people don't realize that when they get these kinds of body scans, they are investing in themselves. People see scarcity or a dollar amount for something as a preventative measure and they look at it as an expense, but it truly is an investment and probably the best investment you can make.
What was the concierge and facility experience like?
The minute that I landed in Houston, there was someone waiting at the airport for me. Dropped me off at the front door, I walked in, I was greeted with friendliness and care, sat in a private room, given a really nice cup of coffee. The people were just so informative, welcoming, caring. I was probably there four to six hours and I was treated with total respect, care, and kindness.
What were the specific health outcomes or insights you gained?
The biggest thing was knowing exactly, scientifically, data-wise, my level of health. I had been concerned about prostate cancer. I do not have prostate cancer definitively, so I'm really grateful for that. But more so, I know the exact state of my heart health. I know the exact state of my brain health.
How has having this data changed your daily life and mindset?
If I hadn't have done this, I'd still be wondering if I have cancer or not. Now I don't have to wonder and now I can really enjoy my health and continue my journey to even deepen it more through exercise and eating properly. Having data and the facts really deepens your sense of well-being.
What would you say to someone who is afraid of the MRI process?
Some people have a fear of being in an MRI tube. What I noticed about the machinery and the tools at Advanced Longevity is that you could watch a movie while you're in the MRI machine. I've been in the old school MRI 15 years ago and it was awful; this was a piece of cake.
Frequently asked
Is the cost of advanced body scans worth the investment?
Steve D'Annunzio explains that while people often view preventative measures as an expense due to a scarcity mindset, it is actually the best investment one can make in themselves. He emphasizes that 'health is your number one wealth' and maximizing life quality justifies the cost.
What is the MRI experience like at Advanced Longevity?
Steve describes the experience as a 'piece of cake' compared to traditional MRIs. He notes that the modern machinery allows patients to watch a movie during the scan, eliminating the fear often associated with being in an MRI tube.
How long does the Advanced Longevity screening process take?
According to Steve, the entire process including the advanced scans took approximately four to six hours. He noted the experience was professional, welcoming, and included personalized care from the moment he landed at the airport.
