At a glance

Primary Use Case
Managing multiple businesses and cross-functional projects
Reported Result
Improved response times and morning email prioritization
Time to Value
Two weeks to transition from part-time to full-time
My favorite, favorite, favorite part of my executive assistant is that he starts an hour before me and all my emails are gone through, and I have a list that needs action.
I've done a lot of hiring in my days, and had not such good luck with who I've hired... and I got the perfect partner because anything I want to take on, even if he doesn't already know it, he's more than willing to learn.
I'm so glad I did it because I have more time, more freedom, more confidence when I am away, just more ability to get my work done and get it done more efficiently.

The interview

When did you first realize Atlas Assistants was making a difference?

The moment that I really knew that Atlas was helping was when I had a problem with my stripe, a technical issue, and I didn't have time to fix it, and my assistant was able to go right in, fix it, repair it, and then from there just put more systems in place that make things go easier, and faster.

What are the biggest changes you've noticed since working with them?

The biggest changes I've noticed since working with Atlas is the sense of freedom that I have, knowing that I have someone who's got my back. If a notification comes in for my Airbnb, I have an executive assistant who's responding right away, so it's improving my response time. My favorite part is that he starts an hour before me and all my emails are gone through, and I have a list that needs action so I can take care of the most important things first thing in the morning.

What was your situation before hiring Atlas Assistants?

Before working with Atlas Assistants, I was running multiple businesses and then I started a new business, which is the consulting business. I was just overwhelmed with all of the different things like trying to keep on top of everything.

What was your main motivation for seeking an executive assistant?

Probably the biggest challenge I had was I didn't feel comfortable asking people in one business to do work in another business. I needed someone that can work across all my businesses. If I hire anyone under any one company, I feel obligated to keep them working at that one company, and I needed someone who could work with me on all kinds of projects.

Why did you choose Atlas Assistants specifically?

It came with a great referral from someone who had already had experience with Atlas Assistants, so I trusted their word. The other piece was it's less expensive than having a full-time employee at my office.

How was the matching and hiring process?

What has amazed me the most was the initial intake process where they got to know me really well and gave me two options of potential EAs, and I was able to interview both of them. When I got the one that I chose, it was like a perfect match. I've done a lot of hiring in my days and had not such good luck with the match, consistency, or matching skills, but I got the perfect partner.

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining?

I would say take the leap. They have really flexible programming. I was able to start part-time and knew within two weeks that a full-time person was needed and could be a big help and was able to actually make that transition. Once you're in, you're in because the experience is so good and it frees up so much time.

How does Atlas Assistants match clients with the right assistant?

Deb Gray described an intake process where Atlas got to know her needs and provided two potential EA options for her to interview, resulting in what she called a 'perfect match' for her skills and knowledge requirements.
