The interview

What makes the Mindshare event unique compared to other venues?

I don't know if there's anywhere else that you can meet the kind of people that you will meet at this event. Like-minded people that are really here to help each other. That, for me, has been one of the most beautiful things, is the collaboration that's happening. It's extraordinary.

Who are you and what is your business?

My name is Andrew Salisbury. This is my wife, Amber, and we're Purity Coffee which is a health-conscious coffee company.

Why did you choose to attend this specific summit?

For us, we want to show up where health shows are. We don't want to show up necessarily where coffee shows are. So, we go to the sort of events where we can talk to integrated medicine doctors, nutritionists, dietitians, that sort of thing, who see food as medicine.

What has been the impact of your first time attending?

It's our first summit, so it's hard to know exactly what the impact is, but I also think it's one of these places that we need to be. We need to be having these conversations because it allows us to have a higher, deep, quality conversation with people because they're recommending food as medicine to their patients.

What is the most important takeaway from the event so far?

The most important thing, I think, is the audience, the people that you get to meet and mingle and work with together. And it's the fact that they're like-minded. If your product is one where you care about the impact of your food or your product on the health of other people, this is the place to be.

How would you describe the people you've met at the event?

We also love being around like-minded people, and the people in this event are some of the most beautiful humans you could meet. Everyone here is about making a positive impact in the lives of their clients or whatever it is they're doing.
