The interview
When did you know Book Launchers was the right choice for you?
I knew Book Launchers was right for me when after the first meeting, I realized there was so much I didn't know and so much they were gonna be able to help me with.
What was your background and inspiration for writing the book?
I'm an author in the women's education health space. I spent a lot of years health and fitness coaching, and throughout that journey, I realized I had a lot of gaps in my understanding about women's health, specifically menstrual health, birth control, and perimenopause. I was inspired a few years ago to take the things I was learning and put it in a book.
How did Book Launchers change your perspective on being an author?
Book Launchers showed me that it wasn't just about publishing a book. There was so much more to understanding my platform and how to really reach audiences. Their advice has been critical into reshaping how I think; you're really more than just writing books, you're a whole brand.
What specific services and team members stood out to you?
Their editors are fantastic, as are the graphic design team and the marketing team. The way they do pitches and get contacts for you is great. Julie herself is amazing, and they provide so much free content through the website and YouTube, but as a paid client, you get even more.
How would you describe the project management and communication?
They have a portal, which is great, so you have your own personal account where you can check what's been pitched and where you are in the stage for editing. The communication is great; I get regular emails and reminders. Every time I have a question, it's answered within a couple days, so I'm never lost in the process.
What tangible results have you seen since working with them?
Prior to working with Book Launchers, I had no social media presence or website. Now I have a YouTube channel that's growing, an Instagram, and a website. My book is out on Barnes & Noble and Amazon. I've been on podcasts, created my own interview series, and I just had my first TV spot.
Why would you recommend Book Launchers to others?
I would recommend them because it's a whole concept approach to branding and promoting yourself. They have the knowledge and expertise to make a complicated process simplified. On the marketing side, they have the network and established relationships that add a level of credibility I would have otherwise never had.
