Beyond publishing on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, she secured her first TV spot, appeared on multiple podcasts, and built a full digital infrastructure including a website and YouTube channel, shifting from a writer to a recognized brand.

The interview

When did you know Book Launchers was the right choice for you?

I knew Book Launchers was right for me when after the first meeting, I realized there was so much I didn't know and so much they were gonna be able to help me with.

What was your background and inspiration for writing the book?

I'm an author in the women's education health space. I spent a lot of years health and fitness coaching, and throughout that journey, I realized I had a lot of gaps in my understanding about women's health, specifically menstrual health, birth control, and perimenopause. I was inspired a few years ago to take the things I was learning and put it in a book.

How did Book Launchers change your perspective on being an author?

Book Launchers showed me that it wasn't just about publishing a book. There was so much more to understanding my platform and how to really reach audiences. Their advice has been critical into reshaping how I think; you're really more than just writing books, you're a whole brand.

What specific services and team members stood out to you?

Their editors are fantastic, as are the graphic design team and the marketing team. The way they do pitches and get contacts for you is great. Julie herself is amazing, and they provide so much free content through the website and YouTube, but as a paid client, you get even more.

How would you describe the project management and communication?

They have a portal, which is great, so you have your own personal account where you can check what's been pitched and where you are in the stage for editing. The communication is great; I get regular emails and reminders. Every time I have a question, it's answered within a couple days, so I'm never lost in the process.

What tangible results have you seen since working with them?

Prior to working with Book Launchers, I had no social media presence or website. Now I have a YouTube channel that's growing, an Instagram, and a website. My book is out on Barnes & Noble and Amazon. I've been on podcasts, created my own interview series, and I just had my first TV spot.

Why would you recommend Book Launchers to others?

I would recommend them because it's a whole concept approach to branding and promoting yourself. They have the knowledge and expertise to make a complicated process simplified. On the marketing side, they have the network and established relationships that add a level of credibility I would have otherwise never had.

I knew Book Launchers was right for me when after the first meeting, I realized there was so much I didn't know [laughs] and so much they were gonna be able to help me with. Tiara Duncan. I'm out of Maryland, and I'm an author in the women's education health space. I spent a lot of years coaching, health and fitness coaching, and throughout that journey, I realized I had a lot of gaps in my understanding about women's health, specifically menstrual health and birth control and just perimenopause and all the things that women deal with. And I was inspired a few years ago to kind of take the things I was learning for myself and applying to my clients to put it in a book. So I had no intentions of publishing. I just started writing, and then almost five years later, I managed to get it published. [laughs] Book Launchers showed me that it wasn't just about publishing a book. There was so much more to understanding my platform, how to really reach audiences that I wanted to reach. You know, it's not enough to just slap your name on something, put it on Amazon and expect it to sell. And my whole ethos is education, so their advice and how they've helped me through this process, both on the publishing side and on the marketing side, has been really critical into reshaping how I think and approach being an author. You're really more than just writing books. You're a whole brand, and that was such a phenomenal perspective shift for me. And then, yeah, they have so much knowledge. Their editors are fantastic. The graphic design team, their marketing team, you know, the way they do pitches, and they get contacts for you. And then Julie herself is amazing. They provide so much free content through their website. She has her YouTube, and she's always putting stuff out there, which is also amazing. But as a paid client, you get even more. So yeah, I can't say enough amazing things about Book Launchers. They have a portal, which is great, so you have your own personal account. You can kind of check in. What's been pitched? Where are you at in the stage for editing? The communication is great. I get regular emails, regular reminders, "Hey, we need to schedule for this," or, "Hey, we would love to have this done by then." And every time I have a question, it's answered within a couple days, right? There's not a significant delay, so I really appreciate that. I'm never lost in the process. Things are clearly communicated to me, and they also will provide roadmaps. Yeah, and again, regular check-ins, so the structure's fantastic. The number one benefit has been changing my whole mindset about how I approach publishing and being an author in that my goal to reach women and educate women is so much more than this book. This is just kind of the starting point, and th- that's just been a fantastic learning and, and growing experience for me. Prior to working with Book Launchers, I had no social media presence. I had obviously my own personal private account, but I never-- I didn't have a website. I didn't have anything, and now I have a YouTube channel that's growing. I have my Instagram. I have a website. I have my books, or my book, excuse me, out on, you know, Barnes & Nobles and Amazon and all those things. So that's huge. That's something that I never envisioned or imagined for myself. So along with just even having a, an existing, I guess, infrastructure with the social media and the website, I've been on podcasts. That's not something I ever thought I would ever be on, and I love doing long-form content. I've created my own interview series. I've been able to get guests on and have really interesting conversations. I did just have my first TV spot, which was, again, something I never thought I would do. So it's been really cool and, and kind of exciting. I would recommend Book Launchers because it's really a whole concept approach to not just publishing but branding and promoting yourself. They can teach you so much. There's so many things to learn, and even if you just talk about the publishing side, learning how to work with Amazon and do I do an audiobook? Do I not do an audiobook? How do I do an e-book? What are all the, you know, what all these things mean? They have the knowledge, the expertise, and they make the process so much s- more simplified because it really, it really is complicated, and it changes all the time, and they stay on top of the trends. They stay on top of the changes, which makes my job as the author easy-peasy. And on the marketing side, you know, they have the network. They have contacts. They have these established relationships, and you can't beat that. When you're a nobody [laughs] and you're trying to reach out, they add a level of credibility that I would have otherwise never had. So those are just multiple things that they can offer.
