The interview

Why is building a real estate portfolio important to you?

Building a real estate portfolio is important because it's the fastest way to become a millionaire. To me, it's the fastest way. I think it's also smart as well. You can never go wrong with owning homes. You can never go wrong with diversifying your portfolio in the real estate business, and then continue to do it year after year after year with the right people surrounding me in order to eventually get that financial freedom and make plenty of money so then I can pass it down from generation to generation.

What has been your experience working with Compass SE?

I was working with Compass SE four years ago, particularly Ben Moss. He was able to find an investment home for me and my family that turned out to be amazing. And he did it the right way, the best way.

What advice would you give to someone looking to create wealth in real estate?

If I could give one advice to create wealth in real estate, it would be start now. And what I mean by start now is start owning something that's your own, whether it's in a different state, just find something at a price where you feel comfortable, where you can start, and you're able to build on your portfolio from there. And you can start at a very young age.

What criteria do you use when looking at a potential investment property?

When looking at an investment property, I always look at if I would live in it, because I feel like for myself, if I would want to live in it, that means I would look at it in a way that I would take care of it to the best of its ability. I would put things into it that I would enjoy, and I think highly of myself to where, if I like it, I think other people would like it as well.

Why do you specifically recommend Ben Moss and Compass SE?

I have a really long relationship with Ben Moss. I think he's the best realtor in Florida. I think he is a relationships person. I mean, I recommend Compass SE because of Ben Moss. I honestly think he is the man. I really think he does an exceptional job of being professional as well as building that relationship, relationship of trust. I think that's huge when dealing with realtors is that trust factor. And he's going to give you an honest answer even when you may not like it.

And you can always just start now.
