Successful purchase with ongoing post-sale support

Expert navigation of Georgia-specific real estate laws
She'd give me things to think about with, 'Okay, well, if you're here, think about your commute,' or, 'What's it gonna be like across town at 5:00 PM?'
I was a first-time home buyer too, and so it's a steep learning curve for me. And then every market is different, like how Georgia operates is different from other states I grew up in.
I didn't really expect that and expect that level of continued commitment, and that's been really wonderful to have.

The interview

What was your initial impression of working with Shannon?

She never pushed anything. She wanted to know what I felt and what I was looking for. Also, she knows about a lot of the neighborhoods in Atlanta, I mean, has a huge amount of knowledge, the markets and locations.

How did Shannon's local knowledge help you in your search?

She'd give me things to think about with, 'Okay, well, if you're here, think about your commute,' or, 'What's it gonna be like across town at 5:00 PM?' And so different things like that too were really helpful, just how thoughtful she is throughout the whole process.

What was your experience like during the actual property search?

I found in my experience with her with buying my condo that she always listened, and she was willing to go back and revisit places over and over if we needed. A part of it was narrowing down and really deciding what I wanted and what would be a good fit.

As a first-time buyer, how did you find the learning curve?

I was a first-time home buyer too, and so it's a steep learning curve for me. And then every market is different, like how Georgia operates is different from other states I grew up in. It was just really helpful having her break things down for me, sending me lots of information, and letting me know, 'Okay, here's what comes next,' and then why we're doing what we're doing.

How has the relationship been since you closed on your home?

Across time, we've kept in contact, and she's always been available if I need recommendations for things with my home or refinancing, you name it. She always maintains contact, you know, lets me know she's there if I need anything. I didn't really expect that level of continued commitment.

Why would you recommend Shannon to others?

The reason I would recommend Shannon is because she's incredibly knowledgeable and also listens and supports and is there for what you need and what you're thinking about and will help guide you through the process.

And so different things like that too were really helpful, just how thoughtful she is throughout the whole process. My name is Lisa Domke. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, and I'm a college professor. Shannon had been recommended to me. I found in my experience with her with buying my condo that she always listened, and she was willing to go back and revisit places over and over if we needed. And then just across time, we've kept in contact, and she's always been available if I need recommendations for things with my home or refinancing, you name it. She's just really wonderful and personable and a good listener and incredibly supportive. I mean, just helping break things down on, like, what next steps are, what to do, recommendations. I was a first-time home buyer too, and so it's a steep learning curve for me. And then every market is different, like how Georgia operates is different from other states I grew up in. And so it was just really helpful having her break things down for me, sending me lots of information, and letting me know, "Okay, here's what comes next," and then why we're doing what we're doing or why she recommends it. She always maintains contact, you know, lets me know she's there if I need anything. I didn't really expect that and expect that level of continued commitment, and that's been really wonderful to have. A part of it was narrowing down and really deciding what I wanted and what would be a good fit, and so the fact that she was willing to come, like, "Yep, we can look at it again. Yes, we can look at it again," and then just kind of continuing to help walk me through the process helped those levels of stress of like, "Here's what comes next. Here's what needs to happen." Both of those aspects were really helpful. The reason I would recommend Shannon is because she's incredibly knowledgeable and also listens and supports and is there for what you need and what you're thinking about and will help guide you through the process.
