The interview

What is your name and where are you from?

My name is Dawn Hopkins. I live in Boulder, Wyoming on the New Fork River.

What was your health like before starting with F8 Wellcenters?

Before F8 Well Center, I was not doing very well. I had some digestive problems. I had gone to see a gastroenterologist, and they ran some tests and diagnosed me with gastroparesis, and it was a very painful time in my life. I had a difficult time keeping food down. I just could hardly eat anything without getting sick.

How did the virtual consultation process work for you?

They worked with me virtually, which was really nice because I didn't feel very well—not well enough to travel at times. And for them to be able to meet with me virtually was wonderful because I could do that in the comfort of my home.

What made you decide to move forward with the treatment plan?

What made me say 'yes' was when I actually got to sit down and talk with Dr. Jake. He talked to both me and my husband to let us know what I can do. I was very impressed with the knowledge, the fact that he could actually go through and show you how the systems work. That was very, very, very helpful.

Were there any hesitations or surprises during the program?

If there was something that might have kept me from doing the program, it might have been the upfront cost. But overall, when I weighed all of that out, it was very much well worth it for me. What surprised me most was that I had an MC that I could check in with every week, especially when I was very, very ill. I loved that. She was a dietitian, which was something I think I knew I needed to have.

What are you able to do now that you couldn't do before?

What I'm doing now that I wasn't doing before is I can actually get out and do stuff. I am back to hiking. I can take care of my garden. I'm just back to doing the things that I can do, where before I was in so much pain I couldn't even stand up or walk. I also can now eat the things that I was told that I couldn't eat before.

Why would you recommend F8 Wellcenters to others?

I would recommend F8 Well Center because they give you a program to heal yourself. It's a lifestyle that is healthy, that you can continue on for the remainder of your days. I have learned so much from them about myself.
