The interview

What was your overall impression after completing Thrive Camp?

I didn't go in with any expected outcome because things were very, very good. But I'm walking away with the same level of confidence and satisfaction, like when I bring my car in for an oil change, new tires, and tire rotation, as I feel upgraded.

Can you describe your professional background and lifestyle?

My name is Mike Monroe. I am a digital marketer and aspiring executive in Spokane, Washington. My brain is basically the backbone of my profession. I have a boom or bust lifestyle where I'm either sitting in front of screens, or I'm working out at a hundred miles an hour in very small moments of the day.

What health challenges were you facing before finding bVital?

I would describe my challenge as middle-aged inertia. I just turned 43 years old and I hadn't gotten any of my vitals done. I knew I needed to start taking proactive steps to live a better lifestyle. I had two catalysts: a dear friend passing away at 44 and my father passing away quickly from fatty liver disease.

What stood out to you about the bVital approach compared to other clinics?

What stuck out to me about the EPL protocol and the bVital Clinics is what I'm going to call the one-size-fits-all type of approach—meaning everything was about let's test, let's get data and let's figure out exactly what your body needs. The initial testing kit blew me away; it was like a full-scale audit including mitochondrial screening and heavy metals.

What were the results of your prescribed supplementation protocol?

I actually did a year of supplementation with the exact protocol that I was prescribed. I had another test kit right before I came to camp to see if the supplements worked. They totally worked. It was so cool seeing some numbers that had been concerning before be better, and seeing some numbers that I wanted to spike were boom, up here.

How would you describe the staff and culture at the clinic?

The staff is amazing. They treat you like family; they treat you like friends. There really is a difference between training customer service and treating clients the way you treat them because you love being there and you buy into the mission. Every single person, from the gal answering phones to the doctors and janitorial staff, is there for a singular purpose: to make an incredible patient experience.

What is your advice to other executives considering this program?

If you value all of God's blessings and everything he has for you and you want to live a more vibrant life, you're not worried about a few extra zeros, then hop on a plane and hang out with the bVital team in Park City. A man with their health has a thousand dreams, but a man without their health really only has one.

Frequently asked

Is the bVital testing process more thorough than a standard blood panel?

Yes. Mike Monroe described the initial testing kit as a 'full-scale audit' that went far beyond a standard blood panel, specifically highlighting the mitochondrial screening and heavy metal testing as critical factors for his brain health.

How does bVital customize their health protocols?

According to Mike Monroe, bVital avoids a 'one-size-fits-all' approach by using data from comprehensive testing to determine exactly what an individual's body needs for their specific season of life, including precise diet and supplementation plans.

What is the patient experience like at bVital's Thrive Camp?

Mike Monroe noted that the staff treats patients like family and friends, creating a high-touch environment that allows executives to reset away from high-stress routines while receiving intensive care.

Out of Thrive Camp at this point, and I didn't go in with any expected outcome because things were very, very good. But I'm walking away with the same level of confidence and satisfaction, like when I bring my car in for an oil change, new tires, and tire rotation, as I feel upgraded. My name is Mike Monroe. I am a digital marketer and aspiring executive in Spokane, Washington. My brain is basically the backbone of my profession. have a boomer bus lifestyle where I'm either sitting in front of screens, or I'm working out at a hundred miles an hour in very small moments of the day. I actually met Dr. Gregg at a professional event. I didn't know he was a doctor. I didn't know he was cutting-edge Parkinson's. I just knew that we both needed a place to store our luggage. We struck up a conversation and turns out he's this amazing human being. Describe my challenge as middle-aged inertia. Some might even call it denial. So I just turned 43 years old and I hadn't gotten any of my vitals done. Now I knew I needed to start taking proactive steps to live a better lifestyle. Now, when you hit your forties, you know that you have to take more proactive steps to check in with your health and wellness. So my health and wellness journey has always involved hiring coaches, consuming a ridiculous amount of information and just word of mouth from other people in a similar season of life, or who had experienced really big breakthrough results from something. And so it creates a very, and a cerebral, I guess I would call it a passive approach to health and wellness when you kind of live in that space. And I had two catalysts that really knocked me out of that and moved me into action. The first was a very dear friend of mine passing away at the age of 44. And then shortly thereafter, my father was diagnosed with fatty liver disease and passed away very, very quickly. So I knew that I needed to start taking steps. I needed to start taking action. I researched several functional medicine and holistic health clinics throughout the U S one local to non-local. And what stuck out to me about the EPL protocol and the B-Vital Clinics is what I'm going to call the one-size-fits-all type of approach. Everything was about let's test, let's get data and let's figure out exactly what your body needs, exactly where you're at in this season of life. The initial testing kit blew me away. It wasn't just like a blood panel. I mean, it was an everything panel. It was like a full-scale audit. I was most impressed with there was a mitochondrial screening. did heavy metals. Mean, it was everything all encompassing because all these factors, which I hadn't known at the time, and deeply affect brain health and brain performance. So when my initial report of findings came back, it was like, okay, everything's pretty good here, which is great. Exactly what I expected. But when I had my consultation with the doctor, it was very much like, okay, here's what you can accomplish with diet. All right, I can fix that. That's easy. But also. Here's where you can really benefit from supplementation. So before I came to Thrive Camp, I actually did a year of supplementation with the exact protocol that I was prescribed. And right before I came to camp, I had another test kit right before I came to camp to kind of see, right, so did the supplements work? Did they not work? They totally worked. And it was so cool seeing some numbers that had been concerning before be better. And also seeing some numbers that I wanted to spike were like, Boom, up here. And it was so cool to be in that environment for a week, be out of my normal environment of high stress and pressure and moving a hundred miles an hour all the time to be able to just reset, to be with the staff. Mean, the staff is, there are too many people to shout out, but every single person that goes to the clinic says the same thing. The staff is amazing. They treat you like family. They treat you like friends. The best part about it is that there really is a difference between training customer service. and treating clients the way you treat them because you love being there, because you buy into the mission, because you know you're making a difference. And that is exactly how every single person, from a gal who's answering the phones to the doctors, to the janitorial staff, has to come in to clean up. And I mean, everybody is there for a very singular purpose. And that is to make an incredible patient and client experience. If I were talking to another executive considering Thrive. I mean, we've all been knocked out of our routines and our fitness because of illness or injury. And it really is true that a man with their health has a thousand dreams, but a man without their health really only has one. So if you value all of God's blessings and everything he has for you and you want to live a more vibrant life, you're not worried about a few extra zeros, then hop on a plane and hang out with the Be Vital team in Park City.
