The interview

What was your situation before joining Fab Fertile?

I was doing rounds of IVF. I started at age 38, and being in a same-sex couple, I was confident we'd produce a healthy embryo. In my first cycle, I had almost 20 eggs but ended with only one healthy embryo. I got pregnant but unfortunately miscarried at 9 or 10 weeks, and my doctor gave me no reason other than 'bad luck.'

What led you to finally join the program?

After a second unsuccessful round of IVF with no healthy embryos, I knew my insurance only had one more round. I was starting to feel the clock and the pressure. I decided to go all in with Fab Fertile to know that I tried everything I possibly could for my last chance.

What specific changes did you implement through the program?

I adapted a plan based on individualized test results into my daily life, including my eating, walking, and mental state. I now look at labels and find a balance for my lifestyle, knowing how to handle things like gluten or cocktails while maintaining my health.

Was there a specific turning point or discovery during the process?

My coach, Marika, asked me to do a microbiome test that cost about $140. I was hesitant, but the results showed I had silent bacteria in my vaginal microbiome. This gave me an answer for my previous miscarriage that doctors couldn't provide. She gave me a new set of supplements that shifted my microbiome, and I truly think that's why the embryo stuck this time.

What is the ultimate result of your work with Fab Fertile?

Since joining Fab Fertile, I am very blessed to have a healthy baby boy that was born almost four months ago. I truly believe he is here because of the work I did with them.

Why would you recommend Fab Fertile to others?

They are the other set of voices and ears that can give you the functional answer to what the doctors can't give you. They let you dig deeper to try to change things rather than just accepting a diagnosis. They give you all the tools to put you in the best position to create a positive outcome.

Frequently asked

Is functional fertility testing worth the extra cost during IVF?

Nicole was initially hesitant about additional testing, but found a $140 microbiome test recommended by Fab Fertile to be the turning point. The test revealed silent bacteria that her doctors hadn't identified, which she believes was the key to her successful pregnancy.

Can Fab Fertile help if IVF has already failed?

Yes, Nicole joined Fab Fertile after two unsuccessful IVF rounds and a miscarriage. She used their data-driven approach to optimize her health for her final insurance-covered round, which resulted in a healthy birth.

How does Fab Fertile differ from standard IVF clinics?

Nicole noted that Fab Fertile provides a 'functional answer' that doctors often miss. While her doctors labeled her miscarriage as 'bad luck,' Fab Fertile used individualized testing to find underlying biological reasons for the failure.

So since joining Fab Fertile, I am very blessed to have a healthy baby boy that was born four months ago almost, and I truly do believe that he is here because of the work that I did with Fab Fertile. Hi, my name is Nicole. I am an assistant principal at a school in Brooklyn, New York, and I am a client of Fab Fertile. Before working with Fab Fertile, I was doing rounds of IVF. I started out at the age of 38, and I am in a same-sex couple, so I was very confident that at least one of us would be able to produce a healthy embryo. Started out my first round of IVF, and I thought I was king of the world because I had almost 20 eggs. I wasn't aware of the process and the percentage rate that it declines day by day each step of the process. And at the end of the first cycle, I was left with one healthy embryo out of almost 20, and I felt very deflated, but I felt very hopeful that I had my one healthy embryo. And I was able to get pregnant successfully, and unfortunately, I miscarried at around 9 or 10 weeks, and I was left with no reason from my doctor. It was just bad luck. At that point, I had heard about Fab Fertile from one of my friends, and she was able to successfully create multiple embryos using Fab Fertile after years of trying naturally. And I said, "I have nothing to lose." Then I did a second round of IVF, still unsuccessful. I was left with no healthy embryos. And now, knowing my insurance only had one more round, I was starting to feel the clock, starting to feel the pressure, and that's when I joined Fab Fertile. And I said that if I have one last chance, I'm going to give this my all, and I'm gonna try everything I possibly can to know that this is... I did everything, and if it doesn't work out, at least I know I tried my best. I went all in with Fab Fertile, and I still continue this day to implement those changes in those lifestyles in my day-to-day life. I now look at the labels of what I'm eating. I now know that if I'm going to have something that's gluten in it, if I'm going to have a cocktail, I know that I can have it. I can do the balance, but I need to find the best of both worlds for my lifestyle. Fab Fertile, you know, gave me tests, individualized... They gave me results based on my tests, so it wasn't just a one-size-fits-all result. It was based on my individualized test results that they came up with a plan for me, and I adapted that into my daily life, my eating, my walking, my mental state. You know, I truly tried to manifest and believe that I deserve this, and it was going to happen one way or another. I would say it was when I was about to do my last round of IVF, and one of the workers I was working with, Marika, she told me, you know, "Just, you've done everything. You've done everything I've asked. You've taken every supplement. We've tried everything to give you the best possible chance of this embryo sticking. But just do this one test for me." And I was, I was hesitant on doing it. And at that point, it was such a minuscule test. It was so cheap. I think it was maybe $140. It was a microbiome test. And she said, "Just do this for fun for me." And I did it, and when I got the results back, my mind was blown. It was that I had so many silent bacterias in my vaginal microbiome, and it kind of gave me an answer to why I personally miscarried the first time, which my doctors weren't able to tell me. And when I got those results, she gave me a new set of supplements that completely shifted my microbiome, and I truly think that's the reason why this embryo stuck this time. I highly recommend Fab Fertile because they work with you, they support you. They're the other voice that you have when you're going to the doctors. If anyone is doing IVF or if anyone is just trying naturally and it's not working out, they're the other set of voices and ears that can give you the functional answer to what the doctors can't give you. There's a reason why someone is 30 years old and they don't have healthy embryos. They let you dig deeper to try to change it and not just accept it. And I truly believe Fab Fertile gives you all the tools to put you in the best position to create this outcome. This is the step you need to do it.
