Geobear Stabilized a Half-Inch Structural Crack in South London Without Internal Disruption

Barbara (00:00) they solved it very quickly as soon as I was in touch with them. I had a video call of their people, two weeks later they were doing it. So it was very fast and it was quite exciting on the day because it involved a lot of men in hard hats and hi-ves in a little residential road so people were rather intrigued about what was going on. But the process itself didn't take very long, and it wasn't at all intrusive. i wouldn't have known it was going on had I not seen it with my own eyes, as it were. So I was really pleased about that. Hello, I'm Barbara Richardson and I live in South London. in my sitting room, I have a bay window. and the wall beneath my bay window suddenly had a huge crack in it. I mean, by huge, I mean probably half an inch and it seemed to have come overnight. But it was in a place where I had some cracks and subsidence about 12 years ago. and I got a neighbor in who was a builder. and he gave me the name of surveying company, a surveyor came, did a survey and recommended that I get in touch with geobear. Well, I mean, I hadn't really heard of GeoBear, and actually the way that they do things, I thought sounded a really good way because there are houses in my road that have been underpinned sort of 20 years ago, and when I read about it, it was fascinating and so I just thought that's what I'll go ahead with and it was recommended by the surveyor too. for the surveyor we'd had to dig a couple of pits in front of the bay window and also in another place where there were cracks on the exterior of house, to see if there were roots of any trees. Fortunately this time were no roots so that's why I was recommended to go to Geobear. And then I had to remove some brickwork because my front garden has a design that has some brickwork in it. so some of the bricks had to be removed. And that's all going to be put back so other than that, I mean there was nothing inside the house at all, it was all external. And then the process was explained to me, and afterwards, one of the guys working there gave me a piece of the material that is formed when pumps it all in. and I was amazed to see how light it was. It was like a piece of lava from a volcano, very, very light and very strong. the day after they'd been here, a couple came to my door and they live in a neighbouring road. The man had been out walking on the day that Geobear were here and he'd seen the van. and he'd been told about them because they'd got a similar problem. So they came in and talked to me about it and I showed them the material, and they were going to go ahead with Geobear, and in fact yesterday I saw him in the road and he said yes they're coming to do it quite soon.
