The interview

What results have you seen since working with HomeCareSales?

We've been able to simplify our marketing processes. It's actually turned into a 35% increase in the number of contacts that we have here as an agency, which also led to a 12% increase in the number of leads that we generate here at the company.

What was your biggest frustration before starting the program?

There were a lot of ideas, lofty ideas in my head, and while they were all valuable ideas, Melanie really gives you the tools and the context to see them through in a streamlined way. We can't do it all at once, so Melanie has a really great way of focusing your efforts.

How has the coaching changed the way you communicate your agency's value?

I can speak to the things that I do on a day-to-day basis in more layman's terms, simplifying the processes and being able to articulate our agency's values and service offerings in a simpler way. I come from a background where I can speak very technically, but Melanie helped me simplify the healthcare process for the general public.

Did you have any initial hesitations about the program?

I was kind of worried initially because we don't perform home health services across the board. I was curious how that was going to translate into our community-based services. However, I was able to easily adopt their principles and values into marketing for my agency even though it's not necessarily apples to apples.

What is a key lesson you've learned regarding referral partners?

Something that Home Care Sales and their staff remind me of is stopping to listen to your referral partners and hearing what it is that they have to say and where their needs and pain points are. Coming to a common ground is really what makes a good marketer.

What would you say to a sales rep who is unsure about this training?

Sometimes you need a sounding board. Using the team at Home Care Sales to echo your ideas and seeing how it gets digested from an impartial, objective third party can help refine your marketing skills or sales tactics. They'll ask the right questions to make sure you have the skills, tools, and verbiage to succeed.

Frequently asked

Will HomeCareSales work for non-medical community-based services?

Yes. Denise Ambayec initially worried the program wouldn't translate because Libertana provides community-based services rather than traditional home health, but she found the principles easily adaptable and highly valuable.

How does HomeCareSales help with marketing clutter?

Denise Ambayec noted that while she had many 'lofty ideas,' the coaching provided the tools and context to streamline them, focusing her efforts to build the necessary roadblocks to achieve agency goals.

Can sales training help with technical healthcare messaging?

Denise found that the training helped her move from speaking technically to using layman's terms that the general public can better understand, making the agency's value proposition clearer.

We've been able to kind of simplify our marketing processes. Some of the more cluttered thoughts that I had in my head in terms of like what marketing on behalf of Libertana looks like, she's really been able to simplify, and it's actually turned into, I think we saw a 35% increase in the number of contacts that we have here as an agency, which also led, I think, to like a 12% increase in the number of leads that we generate here at the company. So Home Care Sales has been super impactful in that way, and I feel like I wouldn't have achieved those results were it not for their team. Hi, my name is Denise Ambayec. I am currently a marketing manager here at Libertana, and I work with Melanie over at Home Care Sales as she coaches me through my very first role in healthcare marketing. Before working with Home Care Sales, one of my biggest frustrations or something that I needed assistance on was there were a lot of ideas, lofty ideas in my head, and while they were all valuable ideas, at least to test out, Melanie really kind of gives you like the tools, the context to kind of see them through in a streamlined way. We all have ideas to do everything, which we can, but like we can't do it all at once. So Melanie has a really great way focusing your efforts so that way you can build the roadblocks to kind of achieve those greater lofty goals that we have as an agency. The possibilities that I'm kind of seeing coming to fruition that thanks to Melanie is I can kind of speak to the things that I do on a day-to-day basis in more of a layman's terms, kind of simplifying the processes, being able to articulate and market our agency's kind of values and service offerings in a more simpler way. I come from a background where I can speak very technically about like what it is that we do as an agency, but in terms of simplifying the healthcare process to the general public who really benefit from our services, Melanie really did kind of within me. My first impressions of the Home Care Sales program was that they really had a background in healthcare, specifically home health marketing, which I was kind of worried initially because we don't perform home health services across the board. So I was just curious in working with Home Care Sales how that was gonna translate into the services that we provide, where they're more community-based services, not necessarily home health. Just kind of seeing where Home Care Sales, like their principles, their values kind of align, like I was able to easily adopt that into marketing for my agency, even though it's not necessarily apples to apples. So in that sense, valuable teachings from Home Care Sales. In articulating with potential referral partners, like you're very eager to talk to them about what it is that you do, but something that Home Care Sales and their teachings and their staff remind me of is stopping to listen to your referral partners and hearing what it is that they have to say and where their needs are, where their pain points are, just to come to like a common ground is really what makes a good marketer. What I would say to another sales rep who is unsure about sales training is sometimes you kind of need a sounding board. Things kind of make sense in our mind, and using the team at Home Care Sales to kind of echo, seeing how it gets digested from an impartial, objective third party can kind of help refine your marketing skills or your sales tactics. Because while these ideas sound great in my mind, capturing the general public to buy into what it is that you're promoting may not be, may not translate well. So that's where Home Care Sales comes in. They're your sounding board. You can echo your ideas to them, and they'll make some adjustments. They'll ask the right questions, but ultimately it's all in service of making sure that you have the skills and tools and verbiage to succeed in your own role in sales.
