The interview

What was your health situation before starting the program?

I actually thought I was a pretty healthy person, eating what I thought was the right stuff and exercising. But I was also in chronic pain—daily joint pain, daily headaches, a lot of brain fog, and I didn't sleep very well. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I got to a point where my doctor wanted to put me on aggressive medication.

Why did you decide to join Living Proof Institute?

My brother told me to just call Dipa and see if there was anything she could do because I really didn't want to get to the point of taking aggressive medications. After one conversation with Dipa, I trusted her and the program.

What did you learn about your body during the program?

I had no idea how all these little things were affecting my body. It's mental, it's physical, it's what you eat, how you sleep, how you think, and your mindset. I didn't realize the way I was eating, when I was eating, and my stress levels all affected my inflammation. Now I understand my triggers.

What were the clinical results of the program?

I think I was eight weeks through my program and I had another follow-up with my rheumatologist and she said my inflammation was gone. Just going to the doctor and her saying that it's gone and then I don't have to be on medication was the greatest gift ever.

What other benefits have you experienced?

With reducing inflammation came weight loss, which I didn't think I needed but I clearly did. The brain fog is gone, my mood and energy have increased, and I've even gone off my ADHD medication because I don't feel like I need it to get through my day.

Would you recommend this program to others?

I truly recommend it. It's not just for weight loss; it's just overall health and it's building the skills that you'll use for a lifetime. It is hard work but it's 100% worth the effort and now it's just my lifestyle.

Can lifestyle changes help with Rheumatoid Arthritis inflammation?

Yes. Nisha Sawh reported that after eight weeks on the program, her rheumatologist confirmed her inflammation was gone, which allowed her to avoid starting aggressive medications she was previously facing.

Are the results from Living Proof Institute sustainable?

Nisha noted that she had known the founder, Dipa, her whole life and had seen that results for others stuck for years and years, proving the lifestyle skills built are sustainable for a lifetime.

You have to invest in yourself. You have to make your health a priority. And it's not just eating. It's everything. That's the great thing about the program. It's just... It's mental, it's physical, it's what you eat, it's how you sleep, how you think, your mindset - Like, all of these little things that I had no idea were affecting my body and made such a difference. Hi, my name is Nisha. I'm from Milton, Ontario, Canada. I actually thought I was a pretty "healthy person." Eating what I thought was the right stuff. Exercising, going for my walks, doing all the right things but I was also in chronic pain. Daily joint pain, daily headaches, had a lot of brain fog, didn't sleep very well. But I never attributed to what I was eating. I thought I was living a pretty healthy lifestyle I just thought it was my genetics. I thought it was just something I had to really deal with. So, I've actually known Dipa my whole life. I've seen that their results have stuck for years and years so it's something that is sustainable. But my biggest thing like, wasn't weight loss for me it was pain management or just the inflammation in my body and I didn't connect the two. So I didn't really think at first that it was a program for myself. I do have rheumatoid arthritis, so I got to a point where my doctor wanted to put me on medication and my brother's like, "just call, just message her. Just see if there's anything she can do." Because the medications are quite aggressive for rheumatoid arthritis and it's something that I really - I just didn't want to get to that point and I was pretty much there. So, I finally made the call and just after having one conversation with Dipa, I trusted her and I trusted the program and it's been great. I think I was eight weeks through my program and I had another follow-up with my rheumatologist and she said my inflammation was gone. Being someone living with chronic pain and NOT being in pain was.. it's just... I FEEL the pain now and I tell people this and they don't really get it at first and it's because I've been in chronic pain, that it was just part of my life, it's part of my daily routine. I stopped paying attention to it because it was always there. I always woke up with pain, I always went to bed with pain and now... I feel it. Like, if I can feel if something is not right I understand my body, which I didn't do before. Just being able to wake up and say, "oh, my joints are hurting today. What did I do yesterday? What did I eat yesterday? How did I sleep?" And now I know what my triggers are, which I had no idea what they were. I didn't realize the way I was eating, how I was eating, when I was eating... the way I was sleeping or lack of sleep, the stress level. How all of that affect my inflammation. Just going to the doctor and her saying that it's gone and then I don't have to be on medication was the greatest gift ever. And it was... it's hard work but it's totally worth it, it's 100% worth the effort and now it's just my lifestyle. With reducing inflammation came the weight loss which I didn't really think I needed but I clearly needed it. And with that, the brain fog is gone. My mood, my energy has increased. And I didn't realize all of that was related. People who are in chronic pain, when that pain is gone you'll see how it really, truly affected your life. That's what I'm seeing now. I'm just a happier person. I've gone off my ADHD medication because I don't feel like I need it to get through my day. I truly recommend it. It's not just for weight loss. It's just overall health and it's building the skills that you'll use for a lifetime, which I think is amazing.
