The interview

What makes the Mindshare summit unique compared to other events?

I don't think there's any other arena in which you're going to have so many like-minded people in one space to be able to connect with what you need to do for your next step and how you can help each other.

What is your professional background and how long have you been practicing?

I'm an OB-GYN and pediatric nurse practitioner. My website is marcelpick.com. I've been a functional medicine practitioner for 40 years, and I also teach for the Institute of Functional Medicine.

What do you enjoy most about attending the summit?

What I love about the summit is that you meet people that are in the same world that I'm in. You know, when you're out in the world yourself, you feel a little isolated, especially when you've been practicing as long as I have, with functional medicine being the foundation of what I do, and it's wonderful to meet new people that are just coming in, it gives me new ideas.

Do you still find value in the event after 40 years in the industry?

Even though I've been doing it a long time, I always learn something here, and it's just been incredibly helpful for years. Absolutely feel that this has really helped me change.

What is a specific goal you are working on after this year's conference?

I'm always looking for one more thing, and this year, it's probably going to be more YouTube, that I'll be more available on YouTube than I have been before. I've been doing it, but not the way that I really need to, so I'm going to uplevel it because of this conference this time.

How has the community impacted your business connections and growth?

I don't even know where to start with how many connections I've made over the years. I have people that are still friends, that are in business with me, that have 10x their programs. And because of the summit, I made connections that I became part of the Mastermind, and I couldn't have done it without it.

How has your business model evolved because of Mindshare?

Absolutely, I started doing online programs because of this. I had a brick-and-mortar for a number of years, and as I became more aware of how to have a bigger influence. Instead of one-to-one, I can do one-to-many now. And it's because of the summit and also the Mastermind management.
