The interview

What was your life like before joining Rebel Health Alliance?

I was an out of shape dad who felt lost, tired, and stressed. I was taking handfuls of supplements and working out but not making gains. I was winded just going up the stairs to play with my two and five-year-old boys, which was disappointing because I wanted to be active with them.

What made you decide to sign up for the RHA program?

I had some really good interactions with Dr. Deep online. He made a lot of sense and offered a personal level of interaction that primary care doctors just don't have time for. I was so tired of standard primary care interactions that I signed up that night on a spur of the moment thing.

What were your primary concerns about joining?

My primary concerns were the time commitment and the cost. I worried that getting labs and scans done would take forever before I even got started. Also, as a young family, the cost was an expense, but I realized I'd rather pay for health now than pay for being unwell later.

How did the customized healthcare team help you?

Starting from the building blocks of DNA and history made things clearer. They put my genetic data into my macros and workout plan. My wife even got on board after three months because she saw I looked like a different guy—I was happy, calm, and no longer irrational or stressed.

What surprised you most about the experience?

The responsiveness is wild. I set a new goal to get down to 185 pounds, and within 24 hours, Amber and Sarah had sent me new macros and a plan. The staff is incredibly involved and supportive through both good days and bad.

What specific physical results have you achieved?

My Dexa scan showed I went from 30% body fat down to 13% body fat. I also put on four pounds of muscle. I'm now in shape, I can outrun my kids, and I feel like a better dad, husband, and doctor.

How has your daily life changed since joining?

Everything feels easier. I'm happier and more active at home, my relationship with my wife is great, and my work, sleep, and workouts are all better. What used to feel like it would be hard to keep up now just feels normal and easy.

Frequently asked

Is Rebel Health Alliance worth the cost for a young family?

Aaron Schott initially worried about the expense, but decided it was worth the risk because he sees the long-term cost of being unwell in his own medical career. He concluded that you either pay for your health now or pay for the consequences later.

How long does it take to see results with Rebel Health Alliance?

While Aaron feared the onboarding and lab process would take eight months to get moving, he achieved a total body transformation, including a 17% reduction in body fat, within just six months.

Is the Rebel Health Alliance program difficult to maintain?

Aaron found that while he expected the lifestyle changes to be hard to sustain, the personalized nature of the plan made it feel normal and 'quite the opposite, very easy' to keep up month after month.

Full transcript

Hey, my name is Aaron Schott. months Since joining Rebel Health, I went from a out of wind, out of shape dad who felt lost and was trying to do everything he could to be in shape and to be healthy, who went to work and was tired and stressed. And in six months, I'm now in shape and outrun my kids and feel like a better dad and a better husband, a better doctor. I highly recommend Rebel Health Alliance, because of the full person approach from all of their responsive staff and the positivity and the support and the help to the good days and the bad and the consistency. And that's really what's been a big deal for me, is Making this consistent So before working with a Rebel Health Alliance membership, taking handfuls of supplements and working out, but still not making any gains and still, you know, in bigger pants than I thought I should be in. Running out of breath faster than I thought I should. Came to a point where we were upstairs playing with the boys, and I was, like, winded going up the stairs, and I was kind of disappointed, like, thinking, like, hey, I have a five year old, a two year old, and I want to be dunking on them. I don't want to ever beat me at anything. And so I thought, was it like, I want to be running with them and be active with them and I couldn't be. And I was doing all the things that I thought was right. I was eating a certain way and taking certain things and lifting all these weights and stuff, and I still wasn't where I wanted to be in life or with my, like, health. And so I needed some help. And that's really what got me to RHA. What made me say yes to the RHA program, I had some really good interactions with Dr. Deep online, kind of going back and forth about what my goals were and, like, my reason for wanting to get back in shape again or get healthy again. And he made a lot of sense. And to be honest with you, I was so tired of interactions with a primary care doctor that weren't bad, just weren't where I wanted to be. And that kind of interaction and personal level that I wanted that I really signed up that night. It was a spur of the moment thing. He told me some things that I really wanted to hear and be in contact with me and talk about things that a lot of primary care doctors just don't have time to do or won't do. And that was a big deal to me. And so I actually started that night. I looked at my wife and said, I'm doing this. And she said, what? And I said, well, too late now. I hope it goes well. So my primary concerns about joining Rebel Health Alliance, one was the time, and two was, honestly, the cost a little bit. The time thing, it's worried about you know, hey, you gotta get all these things done in these labs, and then we're gonna get you some scans. And I thought it would take forever, and it'd be eight months before I even got things going. And now I have to log on my food. It sounds terrible. And you know, that the cost was, we have a young family, and so it was, it was an expense for us, I'm sure. But where I work, I see a lot of times if, whether you pay for it now or you pay for it later. And that was kind of one of those things, well, you know, I see young people unwell who didn't do these things. And so I thought it was worth the risk because of that. So having a customized healthcare team, you know, starting just from, like, the building blocks or DNA, knowing my history and what works for me from foods and sleep and workouts and all those kind of things it makes it easier and clearer. And, in fact, my wife got on board after seeing how things were going after about three months, being like, whoa, you look like a different guy, and you're happy, and you're calm. And I wasn't, like, irrational at times and wasn't as stressed as I was as I used to be, too. And so I think just kind of starting from the ground up, I think that was a big thing. And knowing the DNA stuff and then going to genetic stuff and then going to, they'll be able to put that into my macros, then being able to put that into a workout plan and still stay healthy and then having Dr. Deep still try other medications and those kind of things. I mean, you got to start somewhere. And working in healthcare and medicine myself, if you don't take the whole patient into a perspective, you're going to miss something. So what surprised me the most about RHA, I think, was two big things. The first is just how responsive they are and how involved they are. You know, I set a new goal where I wanted to get down to 185 pounds by summer. Within 24 hours, you know, Amber and Sarah had sent me new macros in a plan. So the responsiveness is just wild. So, you know, the results not just, like, weight loss, but I did my Dexa and went from 30% to 13% body fat and put out four pounds of muscle. And I feel like I'm a better example of my kids. So what I'm doing now and differently than I was before the program. Happier and more active at home. My wife and I have a great relationship. You know, we've done this together. we're more active with our kids. They feel it, too. And then work is better, sleep is better, workouts are better. Everything that I'm able to do feels easier. So why? I would recommend Rebel Health is because It helped me kind of put it all together for me. Now, moving forward, it just seems normal, which is something very cool, because you think it would be very hard to keep this up month after month after month, and it's actually quite the opposite, very easy.
