The interview
How would you describe the service level and responsiveness of Rising Oak Advisory?
Rising Oak, the service level was excellent. Very responsive to emails, phone calls, text. There was just not a time that Stanislav was unaccessible or didn't treat us as the most important customer client that he had.
What advice would you give to someone considering working with Stanislav?
I would say, if you're sitting on the fence get off the fence, go ahead and take the initiative to engage Stanislav and see the work and the quality of work that he does. I don't think you'd be disappointed and I think you'd see value at any level of involvement that he could give you.
What was the state of your business before engaging these services?
Our business before working with Stanislav was a family owned business that was struggling and needed some systems, needed some financial acumen implemented into the company.
Did you have any hesitations before hiring Rising Oak Advisory?
The only hesitation I had with hiring Stanislav had to do with the fee structure. We just were not a very flush company with cash and didn't know if we could afford him and we decided to go for it anyway.
What was the number one benefit you received from the engagement?
The number one benefit from working with Rising Oak Advisory was the development of a very sophisticated financial model for our business to help us scale the business going forward.
What surprised you most about the working relationship?
What surprised me the most about working with Stanislav is he's a quick thinker. He gets on things and moves fast and it was a little challenge at first to keep up with him.
Why did you decide to engage Stanislav at this specific time?
We stepped out and engaged Stanislav because as a Chief Executive Officer I didn't believe that we could go forward any further without a better understanding of the levers, financial levers that drove our business model. We've been a 42 year old company, been operating a long time but had not fully developed a financial model for planning and running the business.
How did your confidence in the service evolve over time?
My confidence only got stronger. We actually expanded the engagement from just a financial model to some other areas as we post financing that we thought we could use Stanislav for.
