The interview

What has been your experience since joining The Confident Clinician three years ago?

Since joining three years ago, I have been able to start my own practice, work with my dream patients, and have more time back in my life. I am a naturopathic doctor in Toronto with a focus on maternal healthcare, from preconception to postpartum.

What was your biggest challenge before joining the program?

Before working with The Confident Clinician, the amount of time I would spend on research and creating protocols and reinventing the wheel was enormous. That was one of the biggest barriers and one of the reasons I joined.

What made you decide to say yes to the program?

It was an easy yes. It is their ability to do the research, convey the research, and be very concise and up to date with the latest evidence. That was the biggest reason it was easy to join.

Did you have any hesitations or obstacles before getting started?

If there was one thing that was preventing me getting started, it was the sheer amount of content they put out. At first I was overwhelmed, thinking I had to keep up with all of it, but I very quickly realized that wasn't the case. I pick and choose what's relevant to my practice and my patient base.

What surprised you most about the program?

What surprised me the most was really how plug and play the information was. I would immediately do a course, listen to a lecture, and immediately implement it into practice. There was no lag time. It was very in real time implementation, which was a huge time and mental health saver.

How has the program impacted your professional standing and confidence?

The Confident Clinician helped me step up and be the go-to expert. It helped me with my confidence in my delivery online and in person; it has been an absolute game changer. I started getting reached out to by different podcasts, I host my own podcast now, and I have colleagues messaging me asking for advice.

How would you describe the value of the time saved?

If you value your time at all, I could not recommend it enough. The hundreds, if not thousands of hours this program has saved me—there's nothing more valuable than our time. It allows me to have more time with my kids, not missing dinner, and not missing bedtime.
