The interview
What was your physical condition before meeting Adam?
Before I met Adam I was not able to even bend forward and touch my toes. I was just sitting in a conference for the last 3 hours, and I could not sit still because I had this pain that was oozing up my hamstring, and it was so painful, I couldn't sit still, so I had to leave the conference.
What happened when you met Adam at the conference?
He saw me struggling, and he says 'You know, I think I could help you.' so he pulled me aside, brought me into a good room, and he did his magic on my body.
What are the immediate results of the session?
Guess what I can do? I can go ahead and touch my toes again, I can sit down, I feel great. It's like, I feel like I'm completely, like, supported with this amazing method. I'm so excited to start doing yoga classes again because I haven't been able to do them for the past couple months.
How long ago did the original injury occur?
About a year ago. It was in the groin area and I was experiencing pain in the glute a little bit. I had torn it like a year ago.
What did the orthopedic tests reveal about the injury?
Adam checked to see how my hip was moving and could see it wasn't moving into external rotation. This was due to the adductor muscles being too tight; he felt a spot that lit me up straight away and could feel a bunch of scar tissue in there.
How did the treatment feel physically?
I have to say, though, when you identified the pain, it hurt to touch, but after you used that magic wand, that Wasabi Wand, the shockwave, that didn't hurt at all. I could barely feel it. It was like a miracle. It was painless.
Frequently asked
Does the Wasabi Method shockwave treatment hurt?
Stacey Lievens initially worried the treatment would be painful, describing herself as a 'wimp.' However, she found the 'Wasabi Wand' to be painless and noted it felt like a miracle because it created a local numbing effect while breaking up scar tissue.
