I went from having 12 to 20-some migraines a month... to getting my life back.
I couldn't go anywhere without a Sumatriptan in my pocket... now I don't have a rescue medication even with me.
I knew that medication or a pill was not gonna be the answer. I knew it was a band-aid... I knew that there had to be a root cause.

The interview

What was your life like before working with Dr. Barrett?

I went from having 12 to 20-some migraines a month, and being in bed a lot, being in pain constantly, very depressed with the pain that I was experiencing. My life was unpredictable. I lived every moment not knowing when the next migraine would come. It was very difficult to have any quality of life.

What made you decide to join the Migraine Relief Code?

What made me say 'yes' was that I knew that medication or a pill was not gonna be the answer. I knew it was a band-aid. I knew that it wasn't a permanent fix, and I knew that there had to be a root cause. I started researching her programs, and I knew that she would help me find the answer to what was really going on in my body.

Was there anything that almost prevented you from starting?

If there was something that might've prevented me from starting the program, it was definitely the cost. But also I had no quality of life, and I was at a breaking point where I would have sacrificed or paid whatever I needed to pay to be well.

What other treatments had you tried previously that didn't work?

Things that I tried in the past that didn't work for me were physical therapy, daily medications, and diet changes—specifically I had tried a keto diet and I really only got worse with that. I read multiple books, had been to multiple doctors, and worked with a naturopath for years. We tried all kinds of therapies and different modalities and nothing at all had worked.

How has your life changed since completing the program?

A big thing is I don't have constant fear of a migraine. Dr. Barrett has given me the tools that if I were to get one—and it's very rare that I get them anymore—but if I do, I know exactly why, and I know exactly what to do about it. I have caught myself recently, many times, going hiking or doing things that I love, and I don't have a rescue medication even with me. That has given me so much freedom.

Why would you recommend Dr. Barrett to others?

I would strongly recommend the Migraine Relief Code because Dr. Barrett is very well educated and so knowledgeable. She's very honest and she always made sure that she addressed my concerns.

Frequently asked

Is the Migraine Relief Code worth the cost?

Lorie Falkenstine noted that while the cost was a potential barrier, her lack of quality of life brought her to a breaking point. She decided she would pay whatever was necessary to be well and regain her health.

Can I stop taking Sumatriptan for migraines?

After working with Dr. Barrett, Lorie reported that she no longer needs to carry Sumatriptan in her pocket. She now experiences the freedom to hike and exercise without relying on rescue medications.

Does the Migraine Relief Code work if other diets failed?

Lorie tried diet changes including a keto diet, which actually made her condition worse. Dr. Barrett's program provided the specific tools and root cause analysis that previous dietary changes and doctors could not.
