The interview
What is your current role and who do you serve?
My name is Liova Perez, I am currently based in El Salvador, and I'm currently supporting my client, which leads a legal firm in California.
What was your professional background before joining Atlas Assistants?
Before Atlas, I actually lived in Nicaragua, which is my home country. In there, I was working at a call center and I was an operations manager for almost eight years. I really wanted to make something of my own, like building my own company, but I did not have any kind of experience in the entrepreneur world.
What was your experience with the Atlas recruitment process?
Once I sent my application to Atlas, I received a response practically on the same day. I had sent applications to other places and there were like one day, two days, even weeks, and I hadn't got a response. I liked the structured process; they have a lot of stats, they are pretty organized, and they give you detailed instructions.
How did Atlas training help you manage specific tasks like travel?
My client travels a lot and at first, he was not so confident into letting me take care of that. Thanks to Atlas Training, they provide a specific section for travel. That was really helpful in ensuring my client had all of the information, documents, and visa requirements needed for a trip to Costa Rica. It made it a lot easier for me to help him.
How has your support impacted the client's business growth?
Calendar management is so important because my client has a really, really tight schedule. Once you start scheduling those, following up, and you start to see the changes in the firm—for example, we started getting more clients, we started getting more revenue. You get closer and closer to the goals that your executive has.
How does Atlas approach task documentation and SOPs?
One thing that Atlas is really focused on is that if you're going to do something, especially if you're going to do it at least twice, you got to document the process. We have a whole library of standard operating procedures for a lot of different tasks. It really makes me feel more confident that there's continuity if I'm not working at the time.
What sets Atlas Assistants apart from other EA opportunities?
I think Atlas is really making a difference because of the recruitment process and the robust training they offer. One of the things that really hit it with me is the team. We have a great team from your mentors, the support, and the other EAs. You always feel like you belong somewhere.
Frequently asked
