The interview

What was your business situation before finding Close it Now?

I started out as a one-man operation. I was trying to grow and scale and I hit a lot of road bumps. I never had any type of processes or procedures; I was just kind of winging it. It led to a lot of inconsistencies with trying to stay busy and trying to keep cash flow.

How did you first get in contact with Sam Wakefield?

My business coach actually referred me to Sam at Close it Now. I reached out and was actually able to get in contact with him within a day. I was really surprised to see him answer the phone and have a conversation.

What were your initial hesitations about joining the program?

The monthly price jumped out at me. I've spent thousands of dollars in marketing and lead gen—ran television commercials, spent 30 grand on that, and didn't get a dollar back. But I realized if I can spend that kind of money on marketing that didn't do anything, we can afford to try out this investment.

How long did it take to implement the new sales process?

It's a process and it takes some practice to really get the ball rolling. It took me about a solid two months of building the entire process to actually put it into use and to actually see the results. Once you're really about three-quarters of a way through it, you start to realize like, 'Hey, this works.'

What specific revenue results have you seen since starting?

December, which is typically one of my slowest months of the year, was actually my busiest month this past year. My average month before working with Sam was $40,000 and that was on a pretty good month. We just closed out December at $96,000.

What advice would you give to someone debating whether to join?

My best advice is going to be if you're going to put to work the lessons that you're taught. If you're ready to go out and actually put the process into place and work towards setting goals, absolutely. If you're willing to go through the process, practice it, and learn it, it's a no-brainer.

Frequently asked

Is the monthly cost of Close it Now worth the investment?

Steven Probus initially hesitated at the monthly price, but realized that selling just one extra $600 job per week would easily cover the expense. He ultimately viewed it as a superior investment compared to the $30,000 he previously spent on ineffective television marketing.

How long does it take to see results with Close it Now?

According to Steven Probus, it took about two months of training and building the entire process before he could fully put it into use. He noted that once he was three-quarters of the way through the training, he realized the system truly worked.

Does Close it Now help with more than just sales?

Yes, Steven Probus found the program helpful for broader business operations, including hiring advice, setting margins, and pricing structures. He describes it as a 'playbook' for whatever direction a small business owner is shooting for.

Once you actually sit down and start talking with homeowners and figuring out their concerns is where you build those benefits at. Actually, December, which is typically one of my slowest months of the year, was actually my busiest month this past year. My average month before working with Sam was 40,000 and that was on a pretty good month. We just closed out December at 96,000. It's not just the sales process. If you're willing to go through the process, practice it, and learn it, it's a no-brainer. It will absolutely help you and you will see results.
