Kurt Moore, a retired scientist, sought care at Dr. Glenn Wilcox and Wise Medicine after conventional Western medicine failed to diagnose his chronic illness. Through specialized parasite testing, Dr. Wilcox identified missed parasites and bacteria. Moore credits the practice's clear 'Scope, Cost, and Schedule' plan for successfully resolving his long-standing health issues.

The interview

Who are you and what is your background?

My name is Kurt Moore. I live in Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico. I'm a retired scientist.

What health issues were you experiencing before seeing Dr. Wilcox?

I started having problems maybe seven or eight years ago. It had to do with an infected molar. And it got worse and worse. They finally did an extraction, an implant. And that's when things really went south and I got really sick. My entire body, from head to toe, was messed up.

What was your experience with conventional Western medicine?

I went through the regular Western medicine stuff, ended up in a GI Clinic down here, and it went pretty badly. And they ended up doing an ileostomy, you know, where they cut your stomach open and disconnect your colon.

How did you find Dr. Wilcox and what was your first impression?

I was referred to him by my dentist. Out of desperation, I went to Dr. Wilcox, and he was a breath of fresh air. In terms of my colon, I couldn't have found a better person. He and his staff just radiate positivity and positive energy.

What made Dr. Wilcox's approach different from other doctors?

He had a very clear plan. It was Scope, Cost and Schedule—which no one would do before. It was just sort of endless, 'we'll treat you till you die' kinda' thing. And it was like, 'no, we're going to do these tests and we will look at the results and we will come back and we will give you the answer.'

What were the results of the specialized testing?

I did the parasite test. He works with this Dr. Ibraheem that's in Nigeria, one of the top parasite guys in the world. My feces had parasites and bacteria in there that they'd all missed. They'd done all these tests and everything but they hadn't looked for those.

How would you describe the staff and the office environment?

Aleshanee, who runs the office, is just amazing. And Megan... I even joked with him about it. I said, 'it's like a medical mosh pit.' Even if I thought I wasn't going to make it, when I fall backwards, you guys are there to hold me. They're almost like family.

Frequently asked

Does Dr. Glenn Wilcox provide a clear treatment plan compared to Western medicine?

Yes. Kurt Moore noted that unlike the 'endless' treatment cycles of previous clinics, Dr. Wilcox provided a clear 'Scope, Cost, and Schedule' that included specific testing, results analysis, and a prescribed protocol.

How does Wise Medicine handle complex parasite diagnosis?

Dr. Wilcox utilizes specialized testing, including working with world-renowned experts like Dr. Ibraheem in Nigeria. Kurt Moore reported that this approach successfully identified parasites and bacteria in his feces that all previous MRI and genetic tests had missed.

What is the patient experience like at Dr. Glenn Wilcox's office?

Kurt Moore described the staff as radiating 'positive energy' and feeling like 'family.' He compared the supportive environment to a 'medical mosh pit' where he felt psychologically supported throughout his illness.

He and his staff just radiate positivity and positive energy. And at that point, psychologically, that means as much as anything when you're sick. You just feel better when you walk in. And you know, they're on your side, which was nice. I wasn't used to that. My name is Kurt Moore. I live in Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico. I'm a retired scientist. I started having problems maybe seven or eight years ago. It had to do with an infected molar. And it got worse and worse. They finally did a extraction, an implant. And that's when things really went south and I got really sick. My entire body, From head to toe, was messed up. And I should have gone to Dr. Wilcox right away - I didn't know he existed. I was referred to him by my dentist. But I didn't go then and I went through the regular Western medicine stuff, ended up in a GI Clinic down here, and - and it went pretty badly. And they ended up doing an ileostomy, you know, where they cut your stomach open and disconnect your colon. So out of desperation, I went to Dr. Wilcox, and he was a breath of fresh air. in terms of my colon, I couldn't have found a better person. And I think if they hadn't disemboweled me, I think he would have cured me. He had a very clear plan. It was Scope, Cost and Schedule - which no one would do before. It was just sort of endless, "we'll treat you till you die" kinda' thing. And it was like, "no, we're going to do these tests and we will look at the results and we will come back and we will give you the answer. And then we can prescribe protocol and you take them and then we'll test again and see if it's gone." Perfect! And... it worked. Most of the other tests are done, you know, with MRIs and things like that. Or genetic tests or all that sort of stuff. I think I have a bacterial infection. his approach attacked that directly. I did the test, the parasite test. He works with this Dr. Ibraheem that's in Nigeria. World famous, you know, apparently one of the top parasite guys in the world. My feces Had parasites and bacteria in there that they'd all missed. They'd done all these tests and everything but they hadn't looked for those. Aleshanee, you know, his assistant, you know, or whatever, runs office, is just amazing. And Megan... I even joked with him about it. I said, you know, it's like, "even if I thought I wasn't going to make it, when I fall backwards, you guys are there to hold me." I said, "it's like a medical mosh pit." So I'm extremely satisfied customer, and they're almost like family. I sent them a really nice Christmas card, and He's He's excellent. They're excellent.
