The interview
Who would benefit from the Event Profit Engine method?
If you have never put on an event before, or if you've put on arena-based events before, I guarantee you that the method that Alex has curated—he's very intentional about everything he does. Every word, every slide. He's going to take you right where you are and allow you to go to the next level.
What does the program offer to experienced event planners?
If you come here with a lot of event experience, he just blends in these high-level tricks and techniques strategies that will take your event to the next level. If you are considering an event, make sure you get in this room as soon as possible.
What are your primary takeaways from the experience so far?
Two amazing takeaways. One is that Alex just delivers the gold. He's so smart and he takes his tons of experience in whatever he's doing, in this case the events, and distills it down. Every nugget that he shares is actionable for me in the creation of my own events. The second thing is the people in the room. He just attracts an amazing community of people.
What has been your favorite part of the event on Day 1?
My favorite part of the Event Profit Engine so far, and this is just day 1, is the way that Alex has already curated activities that we are already a community. Three hours ago we were a bunch of strangers in the room and now it's already a tight-knit group. The conversations are already flowing.
How are you applying what you've learned to your own business?
I learn, I think best by modeling others. And I haven't done my book planning retreats since before COVID. To see Alex in action is just a reminder of the things that I need to do, the things that I can do to help my own clients and it gets me super excited. I have an event coming up in about six weeks and it just gets me super excited knowing all the things that I get to do to help people.
