The interview

What was your business life like before working with Dr. Diamond and Femme Meets Fortune?

Before working with Dr. Diamond and Femme Meets Fortune, I would say that my business owned me as opposed to me owning my business. I had been in medicine for the past 40 years using masculine effort.

What was your experience with the initial coursework?

Before taking the leap into the Mastermind group, I did the Confidence Course in Business first, which I think should be a prerequisite for everybody going into the Mastermind. This helped me understand all the pieces and parts of myself as feminine that are needed to really direct the ship of the business.

What did you discover about your leadership style during the Mastermind?

What I found through Femme Fortune Mastermind is that I actually have a feminine side to me that's so important to be able to fully embody my business. I realized I had been deficient in personal pleasure throughout my entire career where I had to be more of a man in a man's world.

How has your perspective on community and support changed?

I always thought that it was a weakness that I had to do it all myself. Now I value the support and help of other women to unite together in loving kindness, supporting each other, having each other's back, and being each other's cheerleader.

What role does 'pleasure' play in your new business approach?

The conversation around pleasure for me is that my feminine was always something I denied or felt was a weakness that needed to be disciplined. The pleasure element is that thing that nurtures and nourishes my feminine side, helping me understand that these pieces of us are equally important.

What is the overall impact this has had on your mission?

Doing that in a community of other women has been the most profound thing to transform me as a business owner, my message, and my mission going into this world.

Frequently asked

Is the Femme Meets Fortune Mastermind worth the investment?

Yes. Dr. Pamela Hyde stated she believes it was worth the investment in herself, specifically noting that the Confidence Course in Business provided the necessary foundation for the Mastermind.

Can feminine leadership work for women in male-dominated fields like medicine?

Dr. Hyde found that after 40 years in medicine using masculine effort, embracing her feminine side through this program was essential to 'direct the ship' of her business without denying parts of herself.

Do I have to run my business entirely on my own?

No. Dr. Hyde previously thought asking for help was a weakness, but through the program, she learned the value of a community of women who act as cheerleaders and support each other.
