Pharmacist Replaces Full-Time Salary and Launches Business Within Six Months

It's important to me to be a part of this rollout of, like, the state chapters for the FMPhA boot camp, because I really just want to show other pharmacists that this is completely possible. I had a lot of gut feelings that what we were doing - especially in the community setting and pharmacy - just wasn't resonating well with patients, the community, the outcomes we were seeing. And I want people to understand that there is so much more out there that we can be doing to help Our clients and our patients feel well. Work that is truly validating. that brings joy and allows you to actually utilize your license and have passion in the work that you do every single day. And knowing that you made a difference in their health journey and you help them. I think it's just important to share that message with people. When I first started my business, even, it was just like, "oh, I'm gonna do this to give people some, like, supplement recommendations that I had been learning about myself because it. helped me tremendously." And it really spiraled into this own, like, beautiful entity. And me being able to start my own business and actually truly start helping people in the community. I'm Kymberly Klimek and I'm from Green Bay, Wisconsin. I unofficially met Lauren, I would say, through Instagram. I had Googled "functional medicine pharmacists" and FMPhA came up. And I pretty much read Lauren's website site and resonated with everything she had written on there. And then found out that she had an Instagram. And nowadays you can kinda' just DM people. And so I just kind of, what do they say slid into her dms? It's like, hey, everything that FMPhA is promoting sounds like something I'm interested in doing as a pharmacist. I would say if I had any hesitations about doing the boot- camp, it was... the fact that it was teaching you How to own your own business. And so that part was a little bit frightening for me before I ended up kinda' pulling the trigger on the boot camp. One of my biggest takeaways from the bootcamp was, yeah, number one, just like having a community and a support system behind me in this kinda' new journey. But also just the direct blueprint of actually starting a functional medicine-focused practice. There was no guessing, no hee-hawing around. I had direct links, websites - the resources to actually get it done. So that was something that I really valued and appreciated from the bootcamp. with purchasing the bootcamp, you kinda' got this lifetime membership with FMPhA, which is invaluable in itself. first of all, you get this huge community of other pharmacists and connections. And we got discounts through ifm because I know kinda' the next step for a lot of people is just like, "where can I get more functional medicine training?" it was just a direct blueprint and a path where I could choose what really fit into my dreams and my goals and my kind of visions of working with clients and patients. you just can't put a value on this type of information and the community and the lifelong friends and connections that you'll make and then the mentorship. I mean, honestly, like, Lauren is just simply amazing. there's just a super warmth about her and this community that drives me to just want to be better myself as a pharmacist and help support my community. And honestly, it's really through her words of encouragement and her wisdom and her experience that have allowed me to sort of even break out of my own little shell. within six months of doing the boot camp, I was already here and able to replace my full-time salary as a pharmacist and to go full-time in my own business. But it really blossomed and turned into so much more. And that is a testament to this program. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that I will be able to progress this quickly. It is super important to be a founding member of this bootcamp because there is a drastic shift and a movement happening in healthcare. and if you want to be on this ship and not get left behind, today is the day to do it - now.
