The interview

What was the initial motivation for attending the WeDeepen event?

We didn't know our love could go deeper but WeDeepen'ed. So for me it was really important to understand why we we're connected and we have a lot of similarities. When we get into any type of conflict it doesn't really make any sense to us, so we're always wondering what really happens.

What was the immediate impact of the training on your relationship challenges?

It cleared up not 100% but 110% of some the challenges we didn't even know were there.

How would you describe the bond you shared before the training?

I knew from the second I met him we had such a unique bond, so different than any other bond I had ever experienced and there was something so unique and special about it. We couldn't figure it out but it just we became best friends immediately and after years of this friendship we started to enter this romantic relationship.

What did the training reveal about your similarities?

Through that we also uncovered many similar things that were kind of shocking and after this training, it was so shocking to see how similar we really are. So, at this point I'm just curious to see where the conflicts do come from.

Why do you believe WeDeepen workshops are essential?

The power of a WeDeepen workshop is the most essential thing in life. Why? Because relationships matter so much and you want to know what we were taught in school, from our parents, from our grandparents, from our church around having a healthy romantic, sexy relationship? Nothing. In fact, we modeled the wrong things.

What is the environment like regarding different relationship styles?

I love that any type of relationship philosophy around relationships are accepted here. Not only accepted, it's actually promoted and endorsed, celebrated. Your own unique relationship, your own unique philosophy around that.

What can participants expect to take away from the experience?

Everything you learn is going to be backed by principle and you're going to understand the why and you're going to have the practical applications to go make the changes immediately.

Frequently asked

How do I resolve recurring conflicts in a romantic relationship?

Rod and Sujey found that Love Club workshops helped them understand the 'why' behind their connection and conflicts. The training provided practical applications that allowed them to make changes immediately and clear up challenges they weren't even aware of.

Is there a specific relationship philosophy required for WeDeepen?

No, Rod notes that any type of relationship philosophy is accepted, promoted, and celebrated at WeDeepen. The focus is on having a healthy opportunity to grow and become more, regardless of your unique approach to love.

Why is formal relationship training necessary?

Rod explains that most people model the wrong things because healthy, sexy relationships aren't taught in school, by parents, or in church. Love Club fills this gap by teaching principles that aren't covered by traditional institutions.
