Dr. Lisa Price, a licensed Naturopathic Physician, uses SNiP Nutrition to provide DNA-personalized CODE Complex supplements. She reports that the system replaces the need for five or six individual supplements with one cost-effective, individualized formulation. This approach specifically helps complex patients whose standard labs appear normal but whose therapy plans previously failed to hit the target.

We get to take a look essentially with this tool, we get to take a look under the hood, so to say.
I've been in touch with the creators of SNiP Nutrigenomics for about ten months, vetting the methods and research they've used... and I feel quite comfortable and assured about the scientific basis.

The interview

Why did you choose to use SNiP Nutrigenomics in your practice?

I chose it for a number of reasons. First, I've used nutrigenomics as a guiding tool for four to five years in acute and chronic conditions. Secondly, SNiP is a nice, short, sweet, and effective tool compared to other analysis tools that are very complex and time-consuming. Thirdly, I've spent ten months vetting the methods and research with the creators and feel assured about the scientific basis. Lastly, the technology that matches individual SNPs with specific nutrient needs to create an individual supplement is a huge innovation.

Which specific patients do you use this tool for?

I use it for patients who are very complex—people whose standard labs have come back normal and whose therapy plans didn’t seem to be addressing the problem or hitting the target. It allows us to take a look 'under the hood' at 18 or so genes and mutations strongly related to several processes in the body.

What are the practical benefits of the CODE Complex formulation?

It's the economy of it. I try to prescribe the least amount of supplements, but even five or six can be very costly. One individualized formulation has everything that person needs. It is formulated with unique technology and is individualized for each patient.

How does your background in immunology and oncology relate to this panel?

As a National Institute of Health Research fellow in immunology and oncology, the genes associated with immune function like IL-6 and TNF-alpha, and inflammation like CRP, are included on the panel. These are really important for my practice which focuses on immune dysfunction and cancer.

What makes SNiP Nutrigenomics different from other reports on the market?

There are three things. First, it focuses on prominent genes, not just the methylation genes that a lot of reports focus on. Second, groupings of the genes on the reports are according to physiological categories, which is extremely important to understand the interaction and matching to your patients' symptoms. Thirdly, these results are used to formulate that one individualized supplement.

Frequently asked

Is SNiP Nutrition a gimmick or scientifically vetted?

Dr. Lisa Price, an NIH Research Fellow, spent ten months vetting the creators' methods and research. She concluded the technology is a 'huge innovation' and feels 'quite comfortable and assured' about its scientific basis.

How does SNiP Nutrition help with supplement costs?

Dr. Price notes that prescribing five or six individual supplements can be very costly for patients. SNiP Nutrition provides one individualized formulation that contains everything a person needs, improving the economy of the treatment plan.

How does SNiP Nutrition differ from other nutrigenomic reports?

According to Dr. Price, it focuses on prominent genes beyond just methylation, groups genes by physiological categories to match patient symptoms, and directly formulates a custom supplement from the results.

I chose to use SNiP Nutrigenomics for a number of reasons. Actually, First, I've used nutrigenomics as a guiding tool for the past four to five years in acute and chronic conditions, and particularly in complex cases. Secondly, I usually use an analysis tool that is very complex and can be very time consuming. SNiP Nutrigenomics is nice, short, sweet, and effective tool for many of these cases. It's an excellent starting point. Thirdly, I've been in touch with the creators of SNiP Nutrigenomics for about ten months, vetting the methods and research they've used to build this tool, and I feel quite comfortable and assured about the scientific basis for use. And lastly, there is a very unique and complex yet elegant technology that matches individual SNPs with specific nutrient needs, and this results in an individual supplement. And that's huge! huge innovation in the field. The way that I use the SNiP Nutrigenomics thus far for patients are those patients who are very complex. for people whose standard labs have come back normal and to whose therapy plans. didn’t seem to be addressing the problem or hitting the target. So we get to take essentially with this tool, we get to take a look under the hood, so to say, by seeing what's going on with the 18 or so genes that in mutations that are strongly related to several processes in the body. CODE Complex is formulated with unique technology and is individualized for each patient. I'm very excited to see the benefits my patients And it's also the economy of it I tried to prescribe the least amount of supplements for my patients, so maybe to start with five or six supplements, but even five or six supplements can be very, very costly. So one formulation, individualized, has everything that person needs. the SNiP Nutrigenomic system, it's very powerful. also a National Institute of Health Research fellow in immunology and oncology. And so the genes that are associated with the immune function like IL-6 and TNF-alpha and also inflammation like CRP are also included on the panel. So, to my colleagues, I would say while there are several nutrigenomic testing reports on the market, there's a couple of things that differ about SNiP Nutrigenomics, SNiP prominent genes, just not the methylation genes that a lot of reports focus on. my practice focuses immune dysfunction in cancer are really important. Second, groupings of the genes on the reports are according to physiological categories, which is extremely important to understand the interaction and matching to your clients or your patients symptoms. And then, thirdly, these results are used to formulate that one individualized supplement. That's the awesome thing. That's the huge thing. That's the thing. As a research scientist that drew me in. And that's the thing that kept me going back to the creators of this product and asking questions and making sure that it wasn't a gimmick, that it was something that's long lasting, that it's very effective and efficient, and it's going to be around for a while to help our patients.
