Evolving from Private Practice to Founder with Strategic Thought Partnership

What really differentiated Darren is he was so emotionally involved in the success of our business and myself personally in a way that I haven't seen before. My name is Kevin Salazar. I'm out of Charlotte, North Carolina, and I'm a founder of a financial planning firm. Previous to getting introduced to Darren, I was just making the transition from being on, being a part of a private practice and about to launch my own practice, and got introduced to Darren and he was really, really instrumental in helping me become the person who I needed to be and be the founder who I needed to be and evolve to build the business that I've inevitably built. I've known Darren for quite some time, and he's was really, really successful as an attorney, and I can tell you, I've been a huge advocate for professional development and coaching since about the age of 22, and always had somebody who I partnered with, and over the last five years it's been exclusively Darren. And up until that point, he's done a really great job of helping make sure that the complete person is ready for the upcoming opportunity, and then also really just thinking about personal life weaving in with our, with the professional life that I'm trying to evolve. And then also who's the man who I'm trying to be and become, and making sure that I don't lose sight of who I once was as I grow into being the next chapter of my life. He's just become an ex- extension of my family and my business, and I couldn't have gotten to where I'm at without his support and his trusted thought partnership. It's a non-negotiable for me now, specifically in my business. We need that clarity and we need somebody who deeply understands business, deeply understands the complexity of this world and from different lenses, in addition to understanding what it's like to be a family man, to be a husband, and trying to figure out how do we optimize a human being to be the best version of themselves. And so to me, I need Darren, I need that sounding board, and I need that trusted advisor to tell me when I'm out of bounds or if I'm really in the right direction, 'cause I oftentimes feel like I'm in the dark and he's able to shed so much light in some areas that I didn't see. So if somebody's on the fence of doing this, I would argue that you're not serious about what you're really trying to accomplish, because if you're really trying to get to the next level, you need to deliver some growth, and the systems that got you to where you're at typically aren't gonna get you to where you need to go, and you need to become that future person with a future team that has increased capabilities to have the success that you're inevitably going to get if you partner with somebody like Darren in your journey. He deeply cares, and we've spent so many times outside of sessions, and he's helped make introductions in ways that he never had to. And so I would just say he goes above and beyond, and you're not gonna find a more dedicated individual to yourself, and I think that's why he's very exclusive in the selection that he takes, 'cause I, I felt it and I feel very honored to be part of that exclusive pool of individuals that he's worked with so far.
