The interview

What was your life like before consulting with Dr. Robert Whitfield?

My life before meeting him was just a lot of health issues. A lot of feeling down, a lot of anxiety and depression, and just feeling like I will never get answers from anyone. I saw a lot of different doctors and specialists and I just felt sick all the time, every day. I was calling out of work because I was in bed and missing out on family parties, gatherings, and trips.

What specific symptoms were you dealing with?

I had a long list including chronic fatigue, chronic inflammation, brain fog, memory loss, GI issues like gas and bloating, and hormonal issues. My husband and I were trying to get pregnant without luck. I also had swelling, decreased libido, shortness of breath, dehydration, liver congestion, declining vision, and extremely dry eyes, mouth, and skin.

Why did you choose Dr. Whitfield over other surgeons you consulted?

I consulted with three surgeons. The first one you don't even meet until the day before surgery. The second had a long waitlist and I didn't feel comfortable. I did two consultations with Dr. Whitfield and he spent so much time talking with me; I didn't feel rushed. He has a holistic approach and a unique HARP program that involves a functional practitioner for detoxing.

How did the HARP program and the BII team support your recovery?

The recovery process has been phenomenal. He has an app where you have full access to everyone on the team to message questions or upload photos. The HARP program gives you a guide on how to detox, lifestyle changes, and nutrition changes. I felt at ease knowing I was working with a functional practitioner pre and post explant.

How do you feel now, two months after your surgery?

I feel like a new person and I feel like myself again. My energy has improved, my skin has improved, and my hydration is better. I had no pain during the recovery and my incisions are healing beautifully. I can finally give people deep hugs without implants being in the way. I traveled from Massachusetts to Austin, Texas for this, and it completely changed my life.

What are the results of the Holistic Accelerated Recovery Program (HARP)?

Casey reported having no pain during her recovery and noted that her incisions are healing beautifully. She experienced improved energy, skin, and hydration within two months of the procedure.

Before I found and consulted with Dr. Robert Whitfield, my life before meeting him was just a lot of health issues. A lot of feeling down, a lot of anxiety and depression, and just feeling like I will never get answers from anyone. I saw a lot of different doctors and specialists for all of the symptoms that I was dealing with, and I just felt sick all the time, every day. And I was so sick of being sick. I was calling out of work because I was in bed, because I was so sick. I was missing out on events, family parties, gatherings, trips just because I was so sick all the time. And I have a long list of symptoms but I will read off some of my main ones were chronic fatigue, chronic inflammation, brain fog and memory loss, a lot of GI issues, a lot of gas, bloating, not absorbing my nutrients. I started experiencing a lot of hormonal issues. My husband and I were trying to get pregnant. We weren't having any luck. A lot of swelling, decreased libido, shortness of breath, I always felt like I had, as I would say, an elephant on my chest. Dehydration, and a lot of liver congestion. Even my vision, I felt, was starting to decline over the years and I've always had 20/20 vision, and then just extremely dry eyes, mouth, and skin. I I thought, well, this is just going to be my life. That's it. I'm just going to be sick all the time and miss out on everything. I consulted with three surgeons, and the first one, you don't even meet the surgeon. You will only meet him the day before surgery. So I did not feel comfortable with that. And then the other surgeon had a long waitlist, and after doing some research, I just didn't feel comfortable. And then I found Dr. Whitfield and I did two consultations with him. And he spent so much time talking with me, I didn't feel rushed during any of the consults. He just understood me. I felt heard. I finally felt comfortable with an explant surgeon. And I knew after our two consultations that Dr. Whitfield was the one for me. And I also really liked that he has a holistic approach to his surgery and all of the pre and post care that you get along with the app that he has and access to his staff. Dr. Rob has a HARP program, and that's the Holistic Accelerated Recovery Program, which is very unique. And when I found out about the program, I felt at ease knowing that I would be working with a functional practitioner in his office pre and post explant. So they really get you ready for surgery, and then afterwards, you work with the functional practitioner in office to help detox, and I feel like most surgeons will just send you on your way and hope for the best. But I really like the HARP program because it helps give you a guide on how to detox, what steps we're going to do next, lifestyle changes, nutrition changes. The recovery process working with Dr. Rob's BII team has been phenomenal. He has an app where you have full access to everyone on the team. You could message them at any time with any questions, concerns, you can upload photos and videos if you have any issues. From the moment I woke up from surgery, I was smiling. Candice actually told me I looked so peaceful and happy and smiling because I was just so relieved and I was so happy knowing that I had Dr. Rob performing my surgery and that I was in good hands with his whole BII team. I had no pain during the recovery, and my incisions are healing beautifully. I am so happy with my results. Honestly I feel like a new person. I tell my husband this, I tell my family this. I just feel like myself again. Since my explant, I've noticed my energy has improved, my skin has improved, my eyes, my hydration, just everything is improving, I'm happier, I feel like I can do more activities and one of the things that I absolutely love to do is hug someone. So now I can hug someone and actually give them a nice, deep hug instead of having these implants in the way I always felt like they were in the way. Dr. Rob has completely changed my life, and I'm so, so thankful for him and his whole team. I highly recommend Dr. Rob because of his expertise in the field, and his BII team and also the HARP program. My name is Casey Araujo. I am two months post explant surgery with Dr. Rob, and I traveled from Massachusetts to Austin, Texas.
